Default Things that wuxia characters get away with that you/I would get our butts busted for?

Obviously, most wuxia characters get away with assault, battery, and homicide in a way that would lead you or me to prison or the death penalty, without a doubt. Other than that, however, what do wuxia characters always get away with that people never do in real life, and how does that make you feel?

    Totally trashing the local restaurant.

That sentence cannot be altered much by Yodaspeak.

Most wuxia characters survive from falling off or jumping off the cliff. Most, if not all, people die in real life......

They can drink and never seem to actually have to pay for it.

I once quit wuxia fandom for eleven years because I couldn't stand that wuxia characters could get away with stuff that I only *wished* I could get away with. Then, I grew up and realized that real life sucks that way...and that it was also *better* that way because honestly, who'd want to put up with some of the crap that wuxia characters have to put up with?

I also then realized that the authors created these characters and situations as a stand-in for that which is unattainable in real life.

That's when I was finally able to return to being a wuxia fan.

Well, considering that we live in a world that features hip hop groups called the Black Eyed Peas and professional sports teams called the Mighty Ducks...

It seems to me like they always have an endless amount of money they can just pull from their sleeves/robes.

When I was young, I used to store stuff in my sleeves cause I thought I could be cool like them, but I ended up losing so much candy I stopped.

How about jumping off a cliff and not die? I doubt I can reproduce that.

They also never seem to get caught with their pants down.

I mean... if you were to jump someone, wouldn't the best time to do it was when they were at the loo?

It can, however, be extended in ElaborateSpeak:

Engaging in the activity that reflects the essence of causing the hazardous destruction of an establishment that is known to the public as the local restaurant, by means of totality.

No! That just sounds perverted! I don't think this happens in real life either.

Though, I have to agree with the "jump off the cliff and survive" scenario. Absolutely ridiculous! And what about the fact that no one seems to have a job, ever!

Yeah..just looking at those mountain cliffs that someone posted in Academia or Travel forum, those mountains are steep. No wonder people who falls down a cliff, people automatically think they died. It's a probable result, while suriving it is RARE (Fat Chance) but a surprising factor for the enemy who thought their opponent had died already.

I think the authors or tv scriptwriters use that card too often it loses its effect.

Yeah, who wants to be eating a nice meal when suddenly a bunch of martial arts masters start fighting and destroying the restaurant?
    Reverend Rongku prepared himself.

Suddenly, he toss his hands and screamed: "I am not human! I am an animal!"

The crowd startled at such a bizarre beginning to the story.

Not that bad if you are not the inn-owner. You get a free meal! Notice how all the non-martial arts guys just gets up and runs for it when the fighting starts? None of em are ever seen trying to pay first.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the benefit to marry multiple people simultaneously.
