Did Qiu Qianren perform a feat of rLDA (reverse LDA)?

rLDA: reverse LDA -- pulling, instead of pushing, "through the air" without physical contact.

Here's what Qiu Qianren did:

The reason I think Qiu Qianren may have performed rLDA, is how did he get ahold of baby Guo Xiang? Guo Xiang was in Guo Fu's hands. Qiu Qianren used both hands to attack Guo Fu. His right hand palm was stopped by Huang Rong + Wu Santong + Yelu Qi, and didn't hit Guo Fu. But if his right hand didn't hit Guo Fu, it should mean his left hand didn't reach Guo Fu either. If his left hand didn't hit Guo Fu, and he still managed to snatch baby Guo Xiang out of Guo Fu, that must mean the snatching was performed "through the air".

Please let me know your interpretation of the text.

Translated: Ci'en's left palm struck out, with his right hand attacking simultaneously in the form of a claw. As two earth-shaking streams of energy went forth, how could anyone have avoided their crushing power on time?

Translated: Huang Rong, Wu Santong and Yelü Qi leapt forward at the same time, for all three of them had already assessed the situation in the blink of an eye. While Ci'en's claw-like right hand was vicious and aggressive, Huang, Wu and Yelü realised that it was far beneath the ability of Ci'en's left palm to kill in a single strike. Hence, the trio struck together, their palms targeting Ci'en's left palm. A 'peng' was heard as the four streams of palm-energy collided with one another.

Translated: With a 'hei', Ci'en stood still, while Huang Rong and her companions were forced to take a few steps backwards. Yelü Qi's internal energy was the weakest of the three, so he retreated the farthest. Next was Huang Rong. But before she could stop moving, she looked at her daughters. By then, Guo Xiang was already in Ci'en's grasp. Guo Fu stood alone, so shocked that she forgot to get out of harm's way.

Qiu Qianren (Ci'en above) grabbed Guo Xiang with his right hand, which he had formed into a claw.

His right hand palm was stopped by Huang Rong + Wu Santong + Yelu Qi, and didn't hit Guo Fu.

His left palm was stopped by Huang and company.
No, the left palm didn't hit Guo Fu.

But if his right hand didn't hit Guo Fu, it should mean his left hand didn't reach Guo Fu either. If his left hand didn't hit Guo Fu, and he still managed to snatch baby Guo Xiang out of Guo Fu, that must mean the snatching was performed "through the air".

Try breaking the scene down like this:
1. Qiu Qianren struck together with his left palm and right claw (hand).
2. Huang, Wu and Yelü struck Qiu's left palm with their own palms.
3. The impact sent Huang et al backwards by several steps, more or less.
4. This is the part that's not described in the text: As Huang et al moved backwards, Qiu (who had better energy) reached forward with his right hand and grabbed Guo Xiang from a startled Guo Fu.
5. By the time the proverbial dust settled, Qiu was already standing still. But Huang et al were still moving, as described in the text.

Note: Steps #3 to #5 had to happen very quickly; and Jin Yong as the narrator had to leave some tiny detail out to portray the speed of the event, and prevent it from being bogged down by needless description.

Finally, another clue as to why it's not rLDA.
The first line of the passage includes these words: 拍出, 袭到 and 过来.
拍出 - Moving away from Qiu Qianren.
袭到 - It has to 到 somewhere, i.e. the target, Guo Xiang and Guo Fu; again moving away from Qiu.
过来 - It has to 过来 to somewhere, again the targets Guo Xiang and Guo Fu and moving away from Qiu.

With such powerful and earth-shaking energy moving away from Qiu Qianren, it's hard to think that Qiu could suddenly turn it into rLDA (in the reverse direction a la Beiming Shengong) and "pull" Guo Xiang into his right hand (which was also sending energy out and away, btw).

A jedi Qiu Qianren was not; the force he used not.
