I dont believe this is true. The only info given in the text was that she playfighted with the Grandpa White, the white ape since she was younger. Eventually, she outclassed the ape by a large margin. If the ape really did teach Ah Qing her martial arts, the disparity between them wouldn't have been that great and wouldn't have happened that quickly. It seems more likely that she created and developed her martial arts in the couse of all those years of sparring with Grandpa White.

I was hoping you'd be able to come up with a ELOC that had the description of something like "he had lived in the mountains since a young child and never had any contact with anyone, thus he was not familiar with society and its nuances, yet his martial arts was surprisingly strong..."

While there might not be anyone fitting exactly that description, there are a few close calls:

-Disciples of Ancient Tomb: they don't interact with the outside world

-Mu Wanqing

-Shi Potian: up to age 12, had never talked to anyone except his "mother" (who was very cruel to him) and his dog. Unfortunately, he didn't know martial arts back then
