Default Tony Jaa's Ong Bak 2

A promo reel can be viewed at twitchfilm.

Beware to all Tony Jaa haters, don't watch the promo reel, you're going to be bored and asleep - it is full with people talking to their death. You've been warned

For the others like me - Behold The Badassity Of Tony Jaa's ONG BAK 2!!

Please note that this new sequel is not a direct sequel, only similar in the name only, the new Ong Bak is a completely different story - a period piece - ancient thai.

the thing that got stolen is your troll-brain

    Quote from twitch:

The film has no story connection to the first Ong Bak (so yeh no connection to anything related to BUDDHA'S body parts), instead moving the narrative back in time and casting Jaa as a young man saved from execution by a group of global martial artists as a boy who has since trained in every one of their arts in an attempt to fuse them all into one master martial art.

me being a lady is questionable. but i wasn't being vulgar though. we need to get your mind out of the gutter.

when i said it fits in, i meant to the first movie. wasn't the elephant stolen?

    The movie was alright....

It wasn't as good as Ong Baak 1.

THere wasn't alot of hard core fights....

It was mostly Tony displaying his variety of weaponary skills...THats about it.

Oh yea, it was kind of boring as well..

Just watch it for the fights...

The movie was enjoyable but it didn't have the excitement that I was hoping for having watched the first movie. I preferred the first one better.

Yup, t was Tony Jaa doing a Jackie Chan/Jet Li impersonation. Not original. At least Chocolate had some new element of a female muay-thai fighter and the fighting is better.

Jaa had a lot of trouble with his movie. The dude disappeared for months into the jungle to 'enlighten' himself, but most people think he went kinda psycho cause his budget got out of control.

as for chocolate, i liked it. the story is very basic and easy to understand. i just wished they had made it longer. the whole deal at the end went down too easy. i didn't like how she was 'saved' by her dad in the end. i wish there was a second part to the story though, cause the actress was pretty good. i'd like to see her as a yakuza boss.

Better still, just watch the fight clips on my site. That's enough to whit your appetite. Ong Bak 2 is no biggie that the trailer made it out to be. It's basically Tony Jaa doing Chinese martial arts. Chocolate is better as it remains true to a simply muay-thai movie.

Chocolate's fight clips are also up on my site.

pembie i suggest you watch chocolate first if you're going to watch these two. jaa's ongbak 2 is okay, but too creepy in my opinion. just because everyone looks really sick in there. the only 'light' you see is jaa's childhood girl, but you get to see her grown up character for like 4mins and she didn't even say a word. there is definitely a part 2 to this. in the end the voice of that man whom ting's parents left him with said ting's time is up, but i doubt that's what he really means. it'd be nice to see a second part to tie all the loose ends together.
