Spam (the canned meat product)

Unless you grew up vegetarian, chances are you've eaten that mysterious canned meat product Spam. Now the stuff is ostensibly supposed to be awful, but most people actually like it (including me...up to a point). The stuff is way too salty and has a weird texture (to say the least), but it's oddly appealing.

I like it refrigerated, myself.

I like spam especially with sandwiches, vegetables or with rice. I like them cooked with fried eggs and mixed with fried rice. I think they taste fine.

But some ppl hate them 'cos it's was a popular food during the war.

Standard Spam is made of pork byproducts. There is also a turkey variety, however.

Anyone know what becomes of my beloved Danish "Tulip" brand? It gives the best canned instant pork and canned sausage out there. I grew up loving it but I can't find them no more...

Well, let's just say that....turkey is a long, long distant relative. It'd have been roasted before it even recognise me. So..... muahahahaha~

Try a slice of turkey, plain without sauce. You'll love it too.

That's the stuff. My dad would used to come home late from work and he would wake me up to have chinese sausages and rice as a midnight snack. Good times.

I like spam too but that shiet is packed with sodium.
