He looks like a prick too. Never liked the guy...honestly, I did not know why so many girls kept swooning over him. Annoying looking face with even more annoying vocals. All his ex-bandmembers were much more talented than him.

I never thought he was good at singing. People said he's handsome, at 1st I didn't think so, but after a while I realize that he's actually better looking that most guys. I never liked any members from the group, there's a reason why they're in a group and didn't do solo work.

I'd have to agree. His face.......how should I say this.....was the type that could búng ra sữa. And he always looks so cocky...I dislike people who act like they're the king of the world.

Anyway, back to Viet songs.

Tuan Vu - Nguoi Yeu Co Don will always always be one of my most favorite songs.

Didn't know PJ was into Viet music too. That last song is absolutely a classic. I used to sing it a lot. I love the lyrics too....they're not so "instant noodle."

You can try checking out esnips, though a lot of people choose not to let their songs be downloadable anymore. Yeuamnhac might be another good site.

Phuong Thanh's voice was definitely unique. Unfortunately, she strained it so much that she had to have vocal surgery, and since then her singing was never really the same anymore.

Since everyone's posting, I'll join in too. In regards to Vietnamese music, I prefer the ballads written by old composers. The lyrics tend to have more depth and the music is more romantic.

The lyrics are definitely more deeper with the older songs, and much more...poetic in a sense. The newer songs are like......."you left, I'm sad, I'm crying, please come back, why did you leave?, you must not like me anymore (duh), I'm really sad, blah blah blah..." They're just big fat whine-fests with really obvious lyrics.

I love this song too. I actually like Ngoc Lan singing it more...her soft voice fits the mood of the song very well. When I was like 5 I started singing this song and people would laugh at me. A kid singing this song just seemed too funny or something.

I really hated how esnips changed their policy. If I were uploading, I'd be annoyed to have to click on the yes-you-can-download option everytime I upload a song. But thanks for the link.........now I can go back to adding more to my themesong collection.

one question though..idk wtf is wrong with my laptop but it doesn't download from esnips right..!!!?!?!? even with the generator. when u "dl", you're supposed to see the file being transferred..but it just goes straight to my windows media player n start playing

In that case, try right clicking on the Download link, and choose Save File As.
