I don't know if you guys listen to vietnamese music a whole lot, I personally just stop listen to the ones after 2002 or 2003, the lyrics just doesn't really work well, seems like they just write it so they have something so sing about, it's not really intriging, now it's just showing everything out there.

Viet music is alright....You should go on imeem.com, there is a wide variaty of music you can listen to ^^...Depends on what types you like though,a couple that I really love are:

When I want to fall asleep usually Vietnamese music will do it for me. Especially the somber soothing melody makes me catch some zzz's really quick. I espcially like listening to Truong Vu when I go to sleep.

I watched a lot of cai luong when I was younger....and it always struck me how long it takes them to die. Like, they'd be stabbed, and then they'd go on singing (very strongly) for a good half hour or more before they finally leave in a dramatic moment.



I was going through some old songs when I stumbled on Lam Truong's Got Hong. Now that I hear it again, I think it's such a perfect song for the Miss Universe pageant going on in VN right now.....and didn't he originally sing it for one of the Miss VN pageants?

Ohh....so that's the name of the song. No one ever sings this song at weddings anymore.........they're always singing cheesy love songs, and usually they're the ones without happy endings. One time I went to a wedding and some old man sang "Doi Thong Hai Mo".........it was so jaw-dropping. I'm surprised they didn't kick him out right then and there.
