I thought that chris Nolan did a good job emphasizing the joker and Two face ( to a certain degree) to show a strong contrast from Batman. I think in Batman movies, it always turn out that the villians are what actually defy who Batman is. The Joker shows insanity while Batman remained sane. Two face showed how the greatest of men could still be corrupted while Batman remain incorruptible.

but don't get me wrong, Heath LEdger was just.. over the top. I didn't really need to compliment him

He's probably among the top three actors I find attractive and talented.

Amazing film. Great plot, and acting by Ledger was so brilliant all I saw was the Joker, can't even picture heath behind the makeup.

Hey Yittz, same here! I tried so hard to link the friendly face of Ledger and the Joker character together. Hard to imagine.

A funny spoof on Bale's hoarse voice as Batman.

    Saturday Box-Office Update:

Given its Friday strength, Knight is on a trajectory to reach $72-76M this weekend sending its total skyrocketing to $311-315M by Sunday night. That would allow the film to match in a mere ten days the totals of this year's top-grossing blockbusters Iron Man and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull which both stand at roughly $314M.

No film in history has made so much money so fast and Knight looks to race past the $400M mark in its fourth weekend. Based on its continued popularity with moviegoers, the $180M-budgeted comic flick has a chance of eventually reaching a staggering $450-500M from North America alone becoming the number two blockbuster of all-time behind only Titanic's record $600.8M.

Finally! I went and saw this movie over the weekend and it was just absolutely fantastic! The cast was simply amazing. I was surprised that Aaron Eckhart had so much screen time. But he truly embodies the Harvey Dent character to perfection. So did Heath as the Joker, and what more can I possibly say about Christian Bale that hasn't already been said.

Although I thought Heath was very good, I have give credit to the makeup artist for this.

The Dark Knight has a really good shot of being the second biggest grossing movie of all time in America. Now the real question is whether it can beat Titanic or not. Anyone?

Probably not. TITANIC was released in December of 1997, and the hysteria went well into March of 1998. That movie was # 1 at the box office for nearly four straight months.

THE DARK KNIGHT is hot, but I don't think it has the legs to stay at # 1 until November.

The reason why Titanic was in such a mass hysteria cuz of the adolescence teenage girls who went to see the movie 4 or 5 times.

Yeah, and that's not going to happen with THE DARK KNIGHT. There just aren't that many obssessive Batman fanboys.

Currently there is a fanboy tug war at IMDB between TDK fans and The Godfather fans. Both side are in the process of giving lots of 1 vote to opposite movies so that either movies can be at #1 at the IMDB top 250. Currently TDK still win with 9.2 weighted average and The Godfather at no. 2 with 9.1 weighted average
