Default What kind of food do you -hate-

Which eatable food items do you feel is overrated?

For me, it is bread. I must give dues to the European bread-makers b/c their bread tastes infinitely better than the bread in the US. But still, compared to Chinese food, it falls short.

I can appreciate the best in bread, but normal bread, is no big deal and I feel that I shouldn't have to pay more than 50 cents for it. So needless to say, I've never been to Panera Bread!

I love bread! How can you not like bread! It's so delicious.

I hate celery, Brussel sprouts, glass noodles, cheese unless it's melted, and olives.
    Because I'm somewhere in between,
    My love and my agony.

I stay away from pork.....that's all.

WenEr, don't you like melted cheese on bread? It's yummy! Quite a concept from Pizza.

You hate eating black penises with gonorrhea? Something in common! I don't like eating them either!

EDIT: Sorry, that was so inappropriate

Damn, RWX totally made me feel like not posting in this thread anymore. But of course, my love for food completely overcomes that.....

I can usually eat almost any kinds of food, but I can't stand bagels. Even with cream/mayonaise (sp) it's still very bland. The annoying thing is that's the only thing they feed you on those ski buses. =\

Eggplants and bitter melons actually taste really good if you know how to make them. They're my favorites. =D

Yes, Bittermelon is good if you know how to stuff em' with meat and clear noodles.

You will not see me eat anything that includes intestines/innards, octopuses, or pork blood porridge, chicken's heart, chicken's legs, liver, or tripes.

    Example: Pig Blood Porridge

I don't like that either. I think it has to be not just melted cheese on something plain, but there has to be other things.

For the peeps who's hating on bittermelons yall should try some of my mom's stuffed bittermelons, it's off the chain!!!

Eggplants are good when you season it with garlic, salt, and pepper and then grill it on a griddle or a regular gas/charcoal grill. Once again it's off the chain!!

Precious, you've read my mind. I was going to start this thread today.

Foods that I hate are: olives, cheese, scallop, and bacon. I hate BLT sandwich, and no, Ken, it has nothing to do with you.

I'm allergic to them. The last time that I'd scallops, my face looked like Mike Tyson's punching bag for days.

OMG, the stuffs that you've mentioned are the absolute BEST. I love them stir-fried with vegetables and/or in rice soup.

I love eggplants. especially when stewed. It absorbs oil really well which makes it taste good, but unhealthy.

overated food would be fast food, or italian food. Spaghetti is way overrated.

VN - canh chua, bánh xèo, canh rau má, khổ hoa (by itself), đồ lòng (duck/chicken liver ok), pig liver
Chinese - Almost everything (since they're all oily and greasy) except Peking duck.
American - anything burger, donuts, muffins, meatballs
