Default Suddenly, I'm only accessing...a small part of the Internet.

OK, I was surfing along just fine until thirty minutes ago, then I noticed that SPCNET was gumming up on me. The other website I had open, Comic Book Resources, was working just fine...as was mostly everything else.

    So I rebooted my computer.

After a small struggle to get in, I was back into SPCNET. It's working just fine.

But now, the rest of the Internet seems to be down on me.

    So far:

    SPCNET - working normally.

Yahoo - working, but very fitfully

    Comic Book Resources - down

    Yesasia.com - down

CNN.com (my startup page) - down

    ESPN.com - down

    Google (Search Engine) - up

    Google Groups - down

What the devil's going on here?

Ken, try deleting the history of the sites that are down on you.

Close down all your dialog boxes, click "refresh" on your desktop (wallpaper area) then, click to enter your Explorer (or your browser) again. This might work.
What can I say? I'm still standing! No weapon against me shall prosper! I am more than a conqueror!!!

I don't care to sit by the window on an airplane. If I can't control it, why look?

It's all fine now. My ISP had an issue. All three of my browser types (IE, Firefox, Netscape) were failing to connect, so it wasn't a browser issue.

Looks like they fixed it...or killed the Yeung Gor conspirators who were trying to knock me offline (thank you, Time Warner).

I started having Internet access problems after Windows auto-update downloaded security update 'KB951748' on Tues. Removing it solved the problem. Had to turn off Auto-update to stop it from trying to download again [it succeeded once causing the same problem]. MS apologised for the problem and wants me to 'hang out' with their PC-Safety people to try to solve the problem.

    Excellentó!

Wow! That many browsers? I suggest, screw IE. I use Firefox with Linux sometimes.....the Penguin version Linux (forgot the actual name). It's my humble recommendation.

Yeung Gor is like your arch enemy or something........

It happened to me on two different computers, each operating on different editions of Windows (Vista and XP), so it was definitely an ISP thing.

    Yeah.

I keep all three because usually, when there's an issue with one, the other two work.

Yeung Gor, the teenaged girls who moon over him, Jin Yong who is biased for him, and everybody who inexplicably defends him.

    You are such an anti-Yeung Gor-ist ! I can't believe it!

I think Yeung Gor is boring. ROCH bores me. DGSD is better. But Kiu Fung must be portrayed by Felix Wong, and Duen Yu must be portrayed by Benny Chan.

BTW, how come there's no mention of Gods of Honour (Feng Shen Bang)?

Turned out to be my Firewall software. Got this from Zone Labs: "Installation of Microsoft Update KB951748 may result in loss of Internet connectivity." They updated their software to fix the problem.

    Revolutionary army? How come?

Are you the leading great hero of this revolutionary army? I don't think you'll want me in your team.

Be warned! This is the kind of soldier I'll be.....

I'll be looking out for cute furry animals, and doing this. Instead of protecting any innocent people who are the potential casualties.....I'll be watching out for any innocent animals and protecting them.
