Difference between ipod nano 2nd gen & 3rd gen

edit: Just on the appearance I like the third one better. It looks nicer especially in real life.

If you want to buy the (outdated) 2nd gen, I would not buy it at retail price. You can get them from ebay for much cheaper.

Well the main difference is that the 3rd gen offers video while the 2nd gen doesn't (which is why the screen is wider and the whole thing is, well, "fatter"). Also if you buy the 2nd it'll probably be refurbished or used.

At first I thought the 3rd gen was kinda ugly, but after I saw one in real life I thought they were quite cute and squat. I still like the 2nd gen better appearance-wise, but c'mon people, let's let go of our beauty standards and not be so biased towards wider things.

No, though I still have mine. Don't forget that the iPod is not that only mp3 player around. There are other ones that are way better in terms of pricing, functions, and sound quality.

The only iPod really worth buying is the ipod classic 80G if you are serious about portable music. Really value for money for the memory space. The rest are OK if you have extra money to spend. Iphone and Ipod touch are cool but they are expensive!!!!

I have an Ipod 3rd Gen i have no idea what the 2nd gen ipod is. All i can say about the 3rd generation ipod is.... i can store and watch 5 movies there and still has lots of extra space (it has 8GB). That's all that matters to me.
It's slim too and easier to slip in your pocket.
