I think Sharon Chan is one of the actresses that is underrated. Her acting may not be the best but she's pretty good. She's someone who always improves from time to time. Usually, we'd see her taking weak innocent characters but after World Twisters Adventure and Devil's Disciple, she's proven herself that she's versatile. Not to mention she's very pretty too, one of the prettiest TVB actresses today IMP.

As for overrated, I'll probably say LYF. I mean, I like her. She's got the looks and her acting isn't half bad but everywhere I go, her name is always mentioned. No I have no problem with that but she's not at the point where her acting is flawless. She could need some work. People should start looking at other actresses who have potential and try hard instead of focussing so so much on others.

both are pretty, but acting-wise, doesn't give much impression

for those who doesn't know her, here's an an enlightenment: she acted as 'xiao yan zi' in 'huan zhu ge ge3', replacing vicky zhao, in 'crouching tiger, hidden dragon the drama', in the 'wind and cloud', and in the 'last concubine' acting as the evil concubine (to name a few that i know), and also 'brothers' movie with andy lau. and she's very good in each of them (i've read good reviews about her, if not watched every series)... and she's one of the prettiest chinese actresses i've ever seen too...

For me LYF is my most overrated..Yeah, she's good looking, but not THAT good looking. I actually prefer a lot of other actresses (look wise) than LYF. She can't really act and I do not enjoy her singing (especially when she tries to sing in English ><) I don't personally hate her..but shes overhyped.

For underrated..it's a long list..

yes, she will going to manage her own work stupid, but it will be also under HY's control. Even HY's people become ruby's official site moderators in a few days ago. Why Fan Bing Bing? Besides photoshoping her photos, I really don't understand what is so special about her acting skills. She stands out in a crowd but when you use the amount of makeup she does, and support bra then of course you will stand out. If you live in the U.S. and you ask people how they feel about her, their first answer is "fake" because here in America we know what photoshop is and we know when it is used.

The most underrated actress: Li Bing Bing & Shu Qi

Maybe you have made a mistake when reading my post or maybe I have not been clear enough because it seems like I have upset you. What I meant was that people know when pictures are photoshop. And when I said "here in the US", what I meant is that the U.S. has been known to be more technologically advanced and so most people know when pictures are photoshops. I live in America so I cannot say the same for people who live in Asia or elsewhere. I apologize for being condescending towards others.

I did not say that she is ugly, what I meant is that she is pretty but to me her beauty is not natural because she depends too much on heavy makeup and photoshop. There is nothing wrong with dressing up well to look beautiful for events, that is not a crime. But there are celebrities who suit up enough for people to say, "Wow she's beautiful" or "She's a natural", and then there are celebrities who dress up well but you perceive this vibe like, "beautiful but pushing it". It depends on your own perception.

Of course I do not know everyone in the US, duh! Even the president doesn't know everyone. When we use the word "everyone" we intend to mean people who we converse regularly with or know. I saw Yang Mi first in ROCH 06 and Jiang Xin in DGSD 03 both are very talented and should be stars. Ady is also very underrated..I think she just need the right roles because she always puts on a good performance.
