Zhang Wuji also appears to be equipped with the best set of skills. 9 Yang, QKDNY, Taiji Fist/Sword etc. Possible contender might be GJ with 9 Yin, XL18Z, L/R Fists etc.

GJ's 9 Yin, XL18Z, Vacant Fist, L/R technique, and Quanzhen training may actually exceed what ZWJ has.

YG actually has an even bigger mishmash of abilities: Quanzhen, Jade Maiden, Toad Style, 9 Yin, Dog-beating stick, Divine Finger, Jade Flute, DGQB's/Condor training, and Sad Palms.

I wouldn't say that ZWJ has the "best" skillset. He certainly has a very good one, but there are others in the same ballpark, and even others that may very well exceed his (DY, XZ, SPT).

The thing about ZWJ's skill set is that while the individual skills are really awesome, they don't synergize all that well. Universal Shift gives him incredible defense, but he already had incredible defense from Nine Yang. Tai Chi allows him to even the odds when up against an opponent with superior internal power, but Nine Yang means that's rarely going to happen to him. And he's lacking a first-class level offensive skill to take advantage of all that power Nine Yang gives him.

Compared to that, GJ's skills work really well with each other. He's got the internal energy backend, first-rate offensive skills frontend and Vacant Fist to fall back if he's ever outclassed energy wise. Plus a grab-bag of other stuff that enables him in areas ZWJ has pretty much nothing for (Finger Flick and archery for ranged attacks, Ambidexterity for two on one fights, etc).

but people don't bash him for his inability to learn a skill but rather they bash him for not defeating opponent lower than him fast enough.

If Xiao Feng had ZWJ's compassion, Ah Zhu might have lived and Yang Guo might still have had both arms. Guo Jing was a pretty compassionate guy. I'd say that ZWJ had Guo Jing's determination as well.

If YG had ZWJ's compassion, he would have professed that he loved Guo Fu, and the two of them would get married, only to be interrupted by XLN, who will ask him not to marry her.

In a point by point reply I would say:

• 9 Yang
• Fist of Seven Damages
• QKDNY/Taiji
• Anyone with decent internal power can finger flick a projectile
• Good point with ambidexterity; ZWJ has the unconventionality of the Holy Fire scepter kungfu though I am not convinced by it.
• I could say that no one has shown the ability to use a giant rock as a hand weapon!

And people seems to forget that ZWJ knows Shaolin claws pretty well! Although he wont use it because he had been thought it officially, just as he doesnt use 7 hurt fist.
