Lol yes I am. If you have CBC (some people who have satellite even if they're in US), you can watch it...it's live.

I think it's extremely strange that US is not broadcasting live...?

    Cool, which part?

I should have bought tape and videotaped it. Oh well, I'm sure they'll show it again.

It's just the West Coast. And it's because no one would watch it when being broadcasted live...everyone would either be sleeping or at work. They need to play it during primetime to pull up the ratings.

Anyone watching it now? I can't watch it 'cos I'm at work but I caught a glimpse of the drumming part on another screen and it looks really awesome!

I'm watching...It was kinda boring. Now is parade of nations. I hope it gets better.

The artistic stuff (visual effects, fireworks) are nice and everything, but SO SLOW and kinda boring.

Is it just me or was the sound system weird? I could barely hear the main song (Liu Huan, Sarah Brightman) properly.

    So yeah, I am bored.

Hmm I guess I'll have to see Bush's monkey face soon enough once US comes. The parade of nations is BOOOOOOOORING. Overall, the whole thing is BOOOOOORING....

Ah, my beauty sleep.....my poor poor beauty sleep!!! GRRRRR...I want it back!

Gees Rose, so much complaining. The parade of nations is always boring if you've seen the past Olympics.

I thought the open ceremony was pretty good. If anything a bit short.

I liked the global warming part and whales part, very clever.

Well it's not over yet. There's gonna be more "shows" after the parade of nations I guess.

Yeah I know....but meh, I think the spring festival shows were more entertaining than this =P (not the talk shows, I'm talking about the dance/music stuff)

Aww I was SO proud watching the Chinese team walk down...almost worth the killing of my beauty sleep to go through the rest of that boring stuff.

It was cute how it was timed at 11:08 a.m. for the home team to enter hahaha....

    But yeaaaa!! CHINESE PRIDE!

On a side note, props for finally picking a more enthusiastic kid for the singing. The closing ceremony kid at Athens was SOOOO timid. At least this kid was more happy-looking.

Aww, the little boy beside Yao Ming is SOOOOOOOOO CUTE. I wanna pinch his cheeks! And he's a brave little hero for saving 2 of his friends from the SiChuan earthquake =D

Okay, I'm finished watching. I liked the torch bearer running in the air part, very very nice (Li Ning!). The fireworks were SPECTACULAR...I wish I was there!!!

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SONGS "BEIJING HUAN YING NI" and "WE ARE READY"? I stayed up til 2am night just to watch those two songs.

Okay so apparently there was a SIDE show and Nicholas Tse, Joey Yung, Jackie Chan, Emil Chow, etc. sang?! How come I didn't see this? Meh I left after the end song and they said "Olympics has finished"....

Haha sux0rs that they are only "good enough" for the ending part where everyone has pretty much left the show.

Who was the female singer for the end song? She had a really pretty voice.

    The ceremony was pretty good.

But I liked the lighting of the torch by Sydney better. The Beijing one is good, but I personally liked Sydney better.
As for the fireworks, it was alright, but I was expecting something better.

most western media probably didn't think you'd be interested in it. i think i heard some music while cbs was interviewing Yao Ming...though i wasn't sure if it was live or broadcasted.

I almost missed the opening cause I couldn't find the correct channel. NBC is showing everything live right now............too bad I'm sleepy.

The opening was amazing. I feel sorry for London already.
