    Definition of badass hero: One Man Killing Machine

    Update:

    - Man On Fire - Denzel Washington - Creasy in badass killing mode in mexico for kidnapping revenge

    Scarface: Tony Montana (ok he's not considered a hero in this movie but he's still a badass)

    Predator (the original): Predator (he's not a hero, but he's still a killing machine)

    Kill Bill: The Bride

    The Professional: the hitman (Jean Reno)

    Xiaolou in Vengeance! (if "kill first, don't even bother to ask questions later" is a good enough qualification for a badass hero )
    A whole bunch of guys from John Woo movies.
    And I wholeheartedly agree about Ripley from Alien saga. (And maybe I'd add Hicks and few other guys - and one gal - from Aliens.)

    Ok, here another movie that I just remembered, which is great and badass :

    The Gunpowder Treason and Plot and Guy Fawkes inspiration movie based on Allan Moore graphic novel:

    V For Vendetta - Hugo Weaving as V

    You guys know while I'm studying in Edinburgh, each time the 5th November come (Guy Fawkes Night), the night became bright with all sorts of people burning old stuff like mattress and wardrobe, very funny and the fire brigade is just busy the whole night. I missed that experience a lot.

    Le Pacte des Loups is fantastic. I liked Mani a lot - but it was Jean-François that totally won me over...:-)
