ipod vs. palm

If you had limited resources (*cough* $$ *cough*), what would you get and why? I know everyone has different needs and preferences, but in the long run, what do you think you would want?

I only have enough to get EITHER an ipod or a palm.

Pros of palm:
-don't have to drag laptop to class, can type notes in class
-organizer? (although I'm a paper/pencil, draw circles, scratch out to-do-list items type of person)

Pros of ipod:
-MUSIC! LOTS AND LOTS OF MUSIC!
-good for working out
-small
-PRETTY!

But ipod basically is only for entertainment, whereas palm is good for school.

Anyone? And can anyone also suggest good brands/models? THanks!

I only have an iPod. I cant really compare. If you have enough resources get both. J/K

There's a new smart phone/pda out called ASUS P320. It has basically everything incl, phone capabilities, audio/video player, PDA functions, still/video camera and guess what even Satellite Navigation. Only thing missing is 3G and maybe a bit of a sacrifice on processing speed. The price is reasonable as well.

If you are short on $$$ and need an all in one tool, this is the gadget to buy.
