    Mostly soup...
    Clam chowder is very delicious....
I like most western soup except a few like Cream of Mushroom, Cream of Brocoli, French onion Soup, ect...

However, no matter how good the western soup tastes, it can't compare to shark fin soup... No match....

    Default Soup vs. Salad

Salad. Usually I'm a pretty slow eater so the soup is cold by the time I'm halfway done. Besides I can't stand canned soup and it's a pain making soup all the time. I didn't used to like canned soup but then one day I just started to hate it. Dunno why.

Soup, Asian or Western (creamy soup). I prefer veggie cooked.

This, along with banh canh, are my absolute favorites. Bun mam is harder to eat though. If you can't stand the smell and taste of mam, you won't be able to enjoy it. Oh well, more for me.

    Both soup and salad.
I am especially fond of restaurants that serve an extensive soup and salad buffet, which means I can have all the soup and salad I want without ordering a main course.

I try to eat there when I'm in Singapore (nearest location).

i usually prefer soup, but sometimes you just feel like something light.

being from boston, i prefer boston clam chowder, but manhatten clam chowder is ok, too.

does anyone watch rachel ray? she makes "stoup" and "choup."

At an hk-styled western restaurants, i eat soup. these restaurants often do not wash the lettuces, which are also not fresh. And, they usually serve clam chowder on Friday

I eat salad at an American restaurant because my dish often has lots of meal. So, I have to eat some greens to balance out.
