    Default sleep paralysis

does anybody get this shit? or do u think the "spirits are pressuring" you? either way, it's ****ing annoying because i always seem to get it when i sleep in the living room and it seem like i'm starting to get it in my mom's room. then i find myself waking up in the middle of the night and then having a hard time going back to sleep. what's funny is i can MAKE myself have sleep paralysis and it's not even intentionally.

I've had it once a few years ago. It was definitely annoying and even scary. But I guess it's not scary for you since you're experiencing it a lot more than me.

You can MAKE yourself have sleep paralysis? O_o

But it was nothing at all compared to this one point in my life where everything just became so delusional. I kept dreaming (or not) of seeing a figure sitting by my bed. The morning after the first time that happened, my brother immediately told my mom how freaked out he was because he saw someone walking in the hall during the night, and this person also stopped by his room. This continued on for several weeks where this figure would come and sit for a while and then leave. I should have been freaked out but I wasn't because I was going through a lot of stress at that time (from other things) and the figure's presence was always very comforting. Well I would continue the story but I'm so hungry I need to go eat now.

I've had it a few times before. It usually happens right before you wake up fully. Your mind is semi-awake, but you haven't gained motor control of your body yet, so it feels like you cannot move your arms and legs or head. It does feel like someone has taken control of your body. I've read that this happens more often if you are experiencing stress.

Question, how do you "make" yourself have sleep paralysis and yet it's "unintentional"? By "making" yourself have it implies it's intentional.

I once read that this happened because though you are awake, part of your brain or the nerves are still asleep, which is why your body can't move.

Not sure how true that is, though. Maybe a doctor can help.

Sleep paralysis is funny when it happens to other people (sort of like narcolepsy or any sleep disorders), but it sucks if you're the one who has it.
I don't know why it happens, I think it may have had something to do with nervous system.

I used to have sleep paralysis very frequently in the past, but I don't experience it that often anymore, thank god. Somehow I am always in some odd position when the sleep paralysis strike, so I'll be very uncomfortable yet I can't move at all. Sometimes I am facing downwards and can't breathe properly during sleep paralysis, but I can't move, so I'll choke for a few seconds before my body finally realize it better wake up or I'll suffocate. I've had it too.

First time I had it, freaked me out - I thought I was getting possessed. Can understand how it must be frightening to wake up paralysed on the surgical table.

Yeah. He only saw the figure the first night though. After that it was just me.

ugh, my bad. wrong choice of words.. idk, it's hard to explain but let's just say if you put me in an experiment for sleep paralysis, i know HOW to make my body reach that level because of the numerous times of experiencing it. and unluckily, the process of trying to go back to sleep and sleep paralysis requires the same procedure for my body like: breathing habits so at times when i'm trying to fall asleep, i get sleep paralysis instead. annoying

Is that figure your secret admirer?

On a serious note, could you or your brother tell if that spirit is male or female? Given that comforting presence, he/she could be someone who has a significant relationship to you.

Yes, I have the strangest phenomenom with sleep paralysis (or I think that's part of sleep paralysis?). That's one flying experience that I remembered. I felt like a flying corpse down my block, still uncertain if its a dream. Besides sleep paralysis, at some point of time, I get sleepwalkings too. It comes and goes.
What can I say? I'm still standing! No weapon against me shall prosper! I am more than a conqueror!!!

I don't care to sit by the window on an airplane. If I can't control it, why look?

    Patience my love.

Well......now that I think about it, it was around the time when my grandma passed away.

It was a female...or at least that's what both of us concluded. A lady with long hair and a pretty face.

Someone has got her eyes fixed on bunny meat but decided it's not her type...

On a more serious note, do you think it's your grandma you 'saw'?
