Good News for Canada.BEIJING - A plucky dynamo from Calgary has ended Canada's medal drought at the Beijing Summer Olympic Games. Carol Huynh of Calgary has advanced to the gold-medal match of the women's 48kg freestyle wrestling competition.
Hunyh didn't surrender a point in defeating Tatyana Bakatyuk of Kazakhstan in her semi final bout at the China Agricultural University Gymnasium.
"I'm so excited," said Hunyh, who will face either Japan's Icho Chiharu or Clarissa Chun of the United States in the gold-medal bout at 4:50 a.m. EST.
She is Vietnamese Canadian.
