    Default Usain Bolt

    This guy is ridiculous.

Cranks up a WR 9.69 and he stops trying in the last few steps. He also had one of the slowest reaction times of any of the competitors (showing his inexperience here), his shoelaces came undone, and he was celebrating before the race was even done.

The guy is only 21 years old. He could be dominating sprints for a long time to come. And, the 200 is his best event. Is Michael Johnson's immortal 19.32 in jeopardy?

Yeah that was amazing, he was so far ahead of everyone else and he could have shaved another 0.2 off the world record with no wind assistance.

What happened to Powell, I expected a 1-2 jam.

It looked like he wasn't even trying near the end...But yeah Bolt is the new fastest man in the world, Usain is insane. Then again, Asafa Powell was the big thing a few years ago..Sooner or later we'll get even faster man than Bolt.

Asafa has a history of choking in the big moments. He was one of the favorites in Athens, and came up well short. It happened again in Beijing. It was supposed to be a showdown between Asafa Powell, Usain Bolt, and Tyson Gay. Gay didn't even reach the final, and Asafa choked in the big moment again.

Bolt on the other hand, has only raced in a dozen or so competitive 100m races in his life, and he's getting better and better. He broke the world record while showboating at the end. Unreal.

We need to come up with a cool nickname for him. Something like...Usain 'The Insane, Lightning' Bolt.

Well, with a name like Bolt, he's pretty well equipped as far as names go.

Usain Bolt. Is there a more perfect name for a sprinter?

This guy reminds me of Florence Griffith-Joyner 20 years ago.

A 200m runner that decides to tackle the 100m and demolishes both WRs in the process and remains untouchable for decades. Look for the 200m record to get smashed soon. 18.99?

I think he'll eventually get the 200m record, but I don't think he would get it this time.

Michael Johnson's 19.32 is like FloJo's 10.49. It's just some freak anomaly that is decades ahead of its time.

Please don't drop the banton, love to see the US losing the 4x100m relays in both M and F.

Lol, Bolt 19.30. But credit to Michael Johnson, Bolt strained all the way and only got 0.02 off it.

This Olympics belongs to China, Phelps and Bolt.

Bolt is insane! Haha, and I like the line they used. "Who said lightning doesn't strike the same place twice?"

On the other hand, sucks for his buddy Spearmon. You could tell he wasn't happy being interviewed.

Good deal, I'm happy to be wrong.

Either way, I don't see another runner getting close to 19.30 for a while. That demands such an incredible turn and a tremendous closing kick.
