Default Su Ying or Xiao Yu'er

Who do you like better? Personally I like Su Ying better. She always knows what other people are thinking especially Xiao Yu'er and she's so straighforward. I think she is such a great character!

Based on series, I like Xiao Yu'er in almost all series. I don't really like Xiao Yu'er from taiwanese version.

I really like Tony Leung and Dicky Cheung as Xiao Yu'er...
As for Su Ying, I only like her in TVB version with Tony Leung. I don't like her at all in Dicky version. She is ok, but I only like Little Fairie with Xiao Yu'er in that series....

OK, let me see here, you are pitting my favorite wuxia male character ever to my favorite wuxia female character ever. How mean is that...Where is the tie option?

I meant the characters from the book. In my opinion Su Ying and Xiao Yu'er were portrayed very badly in the version with Dicky Chueng.

I kinda forgot about the tie option.
But if you think it's a tie just don't vote and post that you think it's a tie.

Basing on Dicky's TV version. I prefer Su Ying.

Do you mean Little Angel? In the book there is a Little Fairy but she is a hot tempered young girl that wears red and likes to whip people. At the end she married Gu Ren Yu.

The Su Ying in Dick Chueng's version is nothing like in the book. Su Ying isn't kind she specializes in tricks and traps. When she first meets Xiao'er she says one day I am going to marry you and of course she does. Xiao Yu'er like'd to say that Su Ying was giving him a headache because she always knew what he was thinking and they were both I believe equally smart.

Sounds like a pretty good read. But Gu Long's novels never attracted me enough to keep reading. Strange.

It is a really good book but some parts like Murong Jiu's wedding and the 10 evils killing each other were dragged out too much.
Flamer: since you can't ever seem to finish Gu Long novels here is the last part of Legendary Siblings and just a part I thought was funny.

    Interesting.

This is also the first time I've read an actual marriage if this is one. I don't remember any pair of lovers in JY actually formally married one another. Quite sweet.

Yeah. There is no Little Angel in the book and Xiao Yu'er is always jealous of Hua Wuque because of Tie Xinlan he doesn't love Xinlan but he always want to be the best.

The Dicky Chueng version should not even be called the Handsome Siblings. It's like a whole different story. The book is not a tragedy at all. And yes Su Ying and Xiao Yu'er are married.

What about Guo Jing and Huang Rong and Yang Guo and Dragon weren't they formally married?

Yes, Little Angel. She and Little Fish are my favorite characters in that series... I don't like Su Ying in there at all, but not hate her either.... I think Little fish and Little Angel's love story is what make the series good... It is much better than the love story in Tony Leung version...

One thing I like about the SY XYE couple is that they're not all lovey dovey like those 2 couples. In fact at first Xiao Yu'er pretended not to like Su Ying but she saw right through him.

Su Ying sounds like a very likable character. I will get to reading the novel one day. Promise.

Su Ying is very similar I believe to Ding Ling Lin or Sun Xiao Hung.

BTW, Guo Xiang, since I am sort of known for hating ties, even though as hard as it is for me to pick, I will. I love Xiao Yu Er and Su Ying equally. But, one thing Su Ying has that Xiao Yu Er does not, is I am in love with her character. So what does that mean, I like Xiao Yu Er more. Sounds confusing doesn't it. Almost as weird as the tiebreaking system in gymnastics.

So, Xiao Yu Er is my choice, barely.

BTW, I like all the girls in Legendary Siblings. All of them have their own cute persona.

Su Ying, Zhang Qing, Mu Rong Jiu, Tie Xin Lan...I would not have mind Xiao Yu Er ending up with any of them, though of course I prefer Su Ying the most.

Not me. I think that Tie Xin Lan is a boring character and Murong Jiu is mean. Zhang Qing is kinda cool but mean. I was rooting for Su Ying the whole time.

What, 1/3 of the time, considering she showed up so late,

I find Tie Xin Lan in the novel less annoying then she is in the series. Same thing with Little Fairy and MuRong Jiu.

Hua Wu Que is so much better in the novel too.
I can't stand him at times in all of the series I've seen.

BTW, did you imagine a certain actress for each of the girls in the novel when you read their parts?

How is this lineup for a potential new JDSJ

    Little Fairy=Ady An
    Mu Rong Jiu=Liu Yi Fei
    Su Ying=Shu Chang/Ariel Lin
    Tie Xin Lan=Yang Mi
    Yao Yue=Shui Ling
    Lian Xing=Qiao Xiong

Wow, they would be really good. I have only heard of 3 of those actresses so I had to look up most of them. Who is Qiao Xiong?

Actually I was cheering for Su Ying because my dad read the book before me and he told me that there was a character called Su Ying who gives Xiao Yu'er headaches so I was cheering for her the whole time.

I am so sorry, I keep getting her name wrong. Qiao Xiong. Umm, she played Lin Shi Yin in Xiao Li Fei dao featuring Vincent, Alyssa, and Wu Jing.

She also played Iron Princess Fan in Quest of the Sutra.

I believe she also played Water Matriarch in the new Chor Lau Heung series with ken Zhu.

Oh my bad, just searched on google, it's Xiao Qiang.

Disagree on Xiao Qiang playing Lian Xing and Shui Ling playing Yao Yue. Xiao Qiang looks way older than Shui Ling and she is in fact older than Shui Ling by 7 years. They should switch place.
