xie xun made a whole bunch of people insane/dead? by roaring.

Ren woxing knocked out LHC and 4 friends of jiangnan by laughing, his Regular voice can shake snow off trees.

Fang Zheng yelled "KEEP QUIET!" and stunned the 6 peach fairies, even Chongxu felt dizzy from hearing it and almost fainted.

He would have severely injured or killed Yinggu if he had continued with his roar at the marsh. It would have been interesting to see him in a sonic match up with Hong Qigong, Ouyang Feng and Huang Yaoshi, given that there seems to be no technique at all in the roar, but just raw application of internal.

Amongst the rest, he arguably might have the lowest internal. Yet he could transmit his voice across mountain peaks. In the rest of the JY universe, such a feat is normally reserved for those with elite internals. So without the internal to back him up, it must have been his LOUD NATURAL VOICE that helped!

You don't have to imagine. GJ already raised his voice such that the entire Mongolian army could hear him in ROCH.

GJ was able to speak loud and clear to a whole army. His voice appeared as if they were standing next to the soldiers. That's because his internal is more refined, while YG's was very Yang in nature and not as refined. His roar, like his internal, is overbearing.

For what he trained in, refinement wasn't something he needed, given his diet of snake bladders. The snake bladders allowed his internal energy to run freely around his body, which martial artists usually had difficulty in doing, while his training regime increased his power and taught him how to use that power. Where ordinary martial artists might need extraordinary training techniques to allow them to cultivate their internal (at the Iron Spear temple, Huang Rong tempted Ouyang Feng by offering to translate such techniques for him, in the 3000 or 5000 words episode), Yang Guo's training under the Divine Eagle allowed to train in internal as if it were ordinary bodybuilding.

The same was said for HYS. I think there is a difference between YG's shout and HYS and GJ's pure internal driven speaking.

its probably because YG was always yelling his angst at the ocean or something and after 16 years he developed a loud roar.

Something like that. During the initial training, when the Condor was beating him around, he probably did a lot of hollering for the bird to stop hitting him too.
