I know there is already a thread in the Music section started by rainey21, but I can't believe there's no thread in this actors' forum since Gackt is such a famous personality in Japan. And yes, he is an actor.

By the way, his name is pronounced as Gack-to

For those who know Gackt-san, I don't think any more introduction is needed. One of the most intriguing, amazing human being/vampire to grace this earth, Gackt has shown us mortals what perfection means and that life is to be taken as far as we can.

Gackt has put up memorable performances in Moon Child, the series Furin Kazan and will be seen with Josh Harnett and Demi Moore in 2009 in Bunraku.

I have most, if not alll his songs and mvs in my ipod... He is such an amazing performer... his concerts are always a sight to behold... and his voice.... my god, its sooo powerful and unique!!! He is one the few singers whose voice you can easily identify. and such powerful emotions in each and everyone of his songs... Gackt-san gives his all in his performances... I am sooo excited for the movie Bunraku... hopefully now the rest of the world will be able to witness his AMAZING talent!!!

Gackt is a hottie and great artist, but for acting I find his expression a bit forced. I prefer him singing than acting.

True, but I always like his performances because he feels really real.

I actually like Moon Child a lot, more for its unique story. Hyde was pretty amazing as the vampire, but Gackt was really touching throughout. He was cute and funny in the first part and really looked the part of the serious mafia during the second.

Acting in Furin Kazan was a bit stiff, but I think that's more due to the directing. Everyone in Furin Kazan talks in the same way. It was a bit bored until Gackt's character Uesugi Kenshin came out. I find Kenshin's character very impressive in the show and in history. I really like Kenshin's kimonos in Furin Kazan - very grand and ancient.

I hope Gackt has a lot of stunts and swordfighting in Bunraku. I heard he's great in martial arts?

I think it's really inspiring and amazing how he aiming to strengthen and connect Asia through his music and how Asians could move on as one and reach out to the world.

I've always find GACKT amazing, but the more one learns about this guy, the more respect you give him. He has the world at heart and always looks towards fulfilling one's and others' dreams, and he's very visionary in a sense he looks out for so many things.

I'm a bit bored, so I think I'll just post in the thread I started.

By the way, I have a small question: What's shmexy? I used to think it's smart and sexy. And why does so many people use this word esp on Gackt? I haven't really seen this word used on other celebrities that much.

News has it that Bunraku will only be out early next year in 2011. I'm really disappointed with the speed they process post-production. It was supposed to be out in July 2009. Now they pushed it one and a half year back.

Does that mean the quality of the movie will be great?

BTW, does anyone know why GACKT change management companies?
