I've posted the beginning of Chu LiuXiang's Legend of the Bat(蝙蝠传奇) at this website:

Legend of the Bat is the 5th book of Chu LiuXiang's series, after "Fragrance in the Sea of Blood", "The Great Desert", "The Thrush", and "Legend of the Ghostly Romance".

The first three books have been summarized very well by Athena, and they can be found here:

The fourth book's beginning was translated to a certain point, I think it was on the "sadly no longer exists" wuxiaworld.org, and reposted at wuxiasociety.org. I have the half-baked version if anyone is interested.

So, this is the fifth book. I'm trying to read this one along while translating, hopefully keeping up my own interest in the story.

Hey no pressure ok? I've actually only started reading, and just finished Chapter 1, which kinda ended in a cliff-hanger. So I clicked on Chapter 2 and got a 503 error. So felt a little of the unfulfilled feeling

rati4u: ghostly romance is a half-baked version. It was very clearly-stated. As you can see yourself, it takes 1-2 years to convert a jumbled novel into a good book. If YOU want to do it, please do so.

It is referring to a scene from Stars Wars, "The Empire Strikes Back". Luke Skywalker is fighting a duel with Darth Vader. Vader cuts off Luke's hand and then reveals to Luke that he is Luke's father. Needless to say that luke doesn't take the news very well.

It's kind of a mystery. Could it be that dead clan leader is a fake one? And that guy that brought the letter was actually in cahoots with this a..hole Ding Feng? Hence his surprise when being stabbed.
