who do you personally think is better?

If I take everthing into account, then my pick would be Leehom. So down to earth, even if he makes the corniest jokes.

jay chou may look arrogant but from the clips i see, he seems like a very nice person and he loves his grandma and mom very much...

but i must admit lee hom looks better and has a better voice but jay is sooo talented! he can play 2 different songs in the piano at the same time...

but then again lee hom, too is very talented...

jay chou is more awkward in person than leehom, but i never got the arrogant vibe from him.

in any case, both are very talented.

personally, i feel jay chou is the better musician and composer as his music suits my taste better. leehom though, is better in the vocals department.

as for the looks department, it's leehom hands down.

Jay Chou for me, Lee Hom is talented in many areas but his music just doesn't appeal to me the way that Jay's does.

About Jay having an edge in acting, Lee Hom is doing pretty well too, he appeard in Lust Caution last year which is by far better than any of the movies Jay had appeared in.

Appearing in a good movie doesn't mean you did a good acting. Lee Hom was just okay in Lust Caution, I thought. I haven't seen Secret (2007) yet, but Jay supposedly gave a wonderful performance.

I didn't say that Lee Hom did a better job acting, only that he appeared in a much better movie. Jay's performance in Secret was so-so, in fact I find his acting so-so in all his movies (I watched all of them). Both of them are better musicians than actors that's for certain.

i liked jay's performance in curse n secret and i must say he did improved a lot after initial d.

as for lee hom, havent seen lust caution but i think he did fine in moon child

wang leehom write more of his own lyrics than jay chou does.

the more poetic lyrics of jay's are usually written by vincent fang.

Man, I don't even know what language Jay chou speaks. I mean, all i hear is him mumbling.

But yeah, there are a few songs of his that I like. He's just way too over-rated imo.

You do have to admit that not many people can mumble as well as Jay. He's got that mumbling down.

Jay's acting in Secret was better than in Initial D, but that was because the character itself didn't require much. If it wasn't for Gui Lunmei carrying on the movie, it might as well have blundered. Both of them are pretty blah actors, but I feel that at last Leehom could hold his own a bit better than Jay.

There is no doubt that Jay is obviously very talented, but I like the variety that Leehom incorporates into his music. He isn't afraid to try out new styles.

Leehom also sings live very well. I didn't think he would be able to sing as good as he did, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The last time Jay tried out new style with his music, it came out pretty wacky, at least to me (cowboooooy anybody?), Lee Hom's attempt at fusing rock and Chinese instrument sounds... really strange to me as well, the beginning was okay, but once it gets to the chorus, eerrrhh.... "What's wrong with meeeeeeeee...??"
