I was just wondering if anyone else has heard about ashes of time redux. It's a movie based on ouyang feng. I just heard of it and im really excited about it.

I didn't like it when I first saw it. Took a second viewing to appreciate what the movie has to offer. Wong Kar-wai's take of the Condor mythos is pretty interesting. It explains why the characters from the books became who they are. Be warned, this is purley the director's own speculation and not part of the story itself.

Oh shiet, I just realized this movie is coming out in American theaters. Wtf, this is awesome.

Just found out this movie is playing near where I live and I'm gonna watch it on Friday. I even set up an event on facebook so if anybody on SPCNET that lives in the LA area wants to come please tell me.

Watched it tonight on crunchyroll and enjoyed it even with it's artsy camera work. No happy stories at all.

I loved that movie too. Me and my brother came up with my sister's nickname while watching that movie. We called her "sausage lips" because she was having some allergy at the time and it kind of stuck to this day.

Ah, it is good to be reminded that my favorite movie on the planet, is finally getting a special treatment, and being played in the US theatres. Too bad it's not coming to a theatre near me, but no doubt I will pick it up in one fashion or another. I already have seen 4 versions of the original movie, none of which does it justice.
