What would Yeung Gor have done to Gwok Fu had Wong Yung not intervened?

After losing his arm to Gwok Fu, Yeung Gor contemplated and quite nearly consummated a plot of revenge against the eldest child of Gwok Jing for the loss of his limb. He was about to witness Gwok Jing carry out the avenging of his limb loss when Wong Yung intervened, saving Gwok Fu from suffering a limb loss of her own. Afterwards, Yeung Gor lost interest in avenging his arm, settling for kidnapping baby Gwok Seung and holding her hostage for a while instead.

But what if Wong Yung hadn't intervened at that moment? Yeung Gor would have had three choices:


1. Do nothing. Just watch Gwok Jing carry out the punishment of Gwok Fu for him.

2. Intercept Gwok Jing's strike and save Gwok Fu.

3. Join in with Gwok Jing's effort, perhaps cutting off Gwok Fu's *other* arm as well.

Of the three options which do you think Yeung Gor would likely have done?

NOTE: the question is which one Yeung Gor, based on his known personality traits, would have chosen...not necessarily what you would have *liked* to see him do. Most people hate Gwok Fu and would have loved to have seen Yeung Gor choose Option 3, but only pick that option if you feel that's really what he would have (not necessarily should have) done.

He probably would have jumped in and tried to stop GJ IF he had time. His first reaction when he realized that GJ was gonna cut off GF's arm was shock and his first thought was whether he was going to save her or not. That second of hesitation may have cost him if HR wasn't already there to stop GJ. YG showed throughout ROCH that despite his hotheadedness, he had a very soft heart. That his first thought was not happiness but hesitation whether to save GF already suggests that he's gonna save her.

Speaking of GF, here's what she thought about when HR told her to go back to Peach Blossom Island and hide.

She felt regret about cutting off YG's arm. Aha! So GF is capable of feeling bad about something she did, right?

She regretted the act only because it meant she had to leave her parents and go to Peach Blossom alone where she would have to keep a blind old dude company. How is she ever going to suffer through such days ahead?

Oh will someone kill her, dig her up, then kill her again? JY just wanted to piss everyone off. She never even got seriously injured.

I think option 2. YG was not really a selfish or vengeful person. When faced with seeing someone else suffer the same disability, I think he would have felt pity for GF and would have acted to prevent it.

She finally realizes she's been to harsh on him all along because she was really in love with him. It's too late to mend the damage done, I think, but at least it shows she's not a complete waste of skin. She's capable of change - it just takes a long time.

Does that really wipe the slate clean? I think not. That "epipphany" made her even worse in my eyes. Now she is not only a byatch, she is one creepy sicko byatch.

PJ, I would qualify what you wrote to say that most people of GF's temperament would have thought that way. Most of us would have had the decency to not attack a defenseless person in the first place.

That's another reason to despise GF. She is just consistently despicable, even in her thoughts.
