Her outfit isn't ugly, it's just sort of peasant-ish. I hope they fix that... it sort of reminds me of the clothes they gave Yang Kang in LOCH 03'. Sort of plain and dark. At least she looks good in the clothes, her male clothes are much better. Maybe she'll have nice Han outfits as a female since we haven't seen any of those right? I hope so at least. I like how Ady isn't wearing too much make up in the scenes where she is dressed up as a male. She looks very good in these scenes, a little weak and tired though- I picture Zhao Min with a little more life. But hopefully it'll look better in action. This scene is one of my favorites in the series, hope they don't mess it up.

Hmm Deng Chao is looking better in the more recent pictures. He looks like how he did in Justice Bao, sort of almost too put together for Zhang Wuji though, don't know why I always imagine him to be a little scraggly... in these pictures he looks sort of like a daoist or something.

Just two days ago, I looked up Deng Chao's filmography and saw a series called Rich Man, Poor Love. Thought it sounded like a comedy and watched it... it is really depressing, but Deng Chao did a very good job on his very complex character. So, even though he may not look like Zhang Wuji (in my mind), I do look forward to his portrayal of the character. I think he has the potential to do a very good job on the role.

Btw, there are 3 actors for Zhang Wuji's role right? Can anyone tell me the limit plot timeline between 10 yr old Wuji and teenage Wuji, and between teenage Wuji and adult Wuji? I mean on which plot, will teenage Wuji and Deng Chao first appear respectively?

i think liu jing may not be at the conference because she may be filming for 3 kingdoms. since the cast is confirmed, cathy will lose face if they replace liu jing with another actress as zzr. in which case, they might pull their funding from the production and zjz will not like that.

i like ady as zm already, her expressions seem pretty good and not exaggerated from what little i've seen. please give her better outfits to make ady appear more like the mongolian princess that we all know zm is.

i have to say that dc looks cute in his nerd boy glass. i forgot to mention that dc is a good height for ady.

Liu Jing wasn't at the conference because she was filming a scene for her character last night.

DC's face looks dark probably because they applied dark powder for him(look at his hands, they're very fair). ZJZ's makeup artists have a habit of making the lead actors look dark/tan. E.g Bobby Dou, HXM, Victor Huang.

Meijue looks really good! Are those gloves i see?

ZJZ not happy with actors outfits and attitude

The very first scene Deng Chao shot was ZWJ following Monk Kong Ming to Mt Wudang. How did ZJZ feel about Deng Chao's first scene? He replied, "Frankly, I'm not satisfied with many areas."

When asked what was he unhappy with, ZJZ replied that he was displeased with the costumes for the actor as well as the the style/image created for the character. "First and foremost, the outfits must look right and the correct aura must be present. Without those, it's very difficult to give a good portrayal of the character. I'm also very dissatisfied with ZM's costumes and hairstyle." ZJZ was most displeased with the two strains of fringe dangling down ZWJ's face, "This was Deng Chao's idea. I understand that he wants to hide the plumper areas of his face but I hope his hair is all bun up neatly. I want ZWJ to look like a clean and neat young man."

As he rambled on, ZJZ also added that he was displeased that the actors for this series arrived late at Wudang, "Times are different now. In the past, actors had to arrive 3 months in advance to prepare for their roles. Now? It's already considered good if the actor arrives at least 4 or 5 days before filming starts. Actually I wanted the actors to arrive at least a month in advance so as to allow some time for martial arts training. But now, many actors just want to act using only their looks. Actually Deng Chao did ask whether he could arrive later because he had hurt his eyes but I objected as I needed him to study his character properly. Since filming started, Deng Chao has only underwent 4 or 5 days of martial arts training.

Was Deng Chao the first candidate for ZWJ? ZJZ admitted that his first choice was Huang Xiaoming but the latter will not be doing any more series. "Since he's famous now, he wants to enter the movie world. I will not stop him. Nonetheless, if he doesnt do well in movies and wants to return to TV, I will still accept him back.

When asked whether he had confidence in Deng Chao, ZJZ replied, "When HXM acted as YG, many people asked me the same question. I wasn't satisfied with HXM in the beginning but i grew more and more pleased with him as the days went by. I feel the same towards Deng Chao. I believe he will improve as the days go by.

I read that when reporters went to visit the set yesterday, he asked them whether he looked nice in his outfit and hairstyle and they replied that it was ugly. To that, the poor guy could only mutter an "uh.."

I hope so too! Actually I agree with most of what ZJZ said. Costumes and aura are important factors. And i understand why he's frustrated with the actors. Having ample time to train, rehearse and prepare for the role will no doubt enhance one's performance, but oh wells..it's too late for anything to be done now. Imo, the best thing to do now is to stall filming for a week or two- let the costume designers have enough time to churn out decent costumes and give the actors some time to catch up on their characters. It's very obvious everything is crazily rushed atm. I dont remember any of the past series being this sloppy and unprepared.

By the way, I just read a report stating that ZJZ and Yu Min have decided to change several members of the cast. They added that the change will be among the supporting casts only and not the lead ones. Frankly, I have a feeling ZJZ is dying to replace all 3 leads but he's bound by his sponsors and cant do so.

I know i sound rather harsh but i do agree that DC needs to lose some weight, especially for his belly area.

Heh, I agree with the reporters. I don't like his hair all up in a bun and his costume is hideous.
