    Default Ongoing Mumbai terrorist attack

Terrible thing still happening obviously. Reportedly 100+ people possibly still being held as hostages, some of whom will probably eventually be killed when/if the military storms the hotels.
What are you fighting for? Just mix them into pissing beef balls, stupid.

Targeting innocent civilians will only beget more hate onto the group that they represent and start another cycle of anger and discrimination etc.

I can't understand why they can't try to do things in the open- publicly swaying opinions to their sides rather than sacrificing others - but i guess that's why they are a minority anger group.

Because they don't have much to work with except fear.

I hope things will get better.

It doesn't take a whole lot of them to do a whole lot of damage.

The problem with punishing these people harshly is that it wouldn't teach them anything.

Some fishermen reportedly called cops when they saw the dudes with huge bags come ashore on the speed boats, but were ignored. It also took two hours to assemble the better armed military special ops to arrive at the scene. For a city that had been hit by terrorism numerous times in recent years, that sounds pretty unacceptable.

if public swaying would have worked well and effectively for them, they wouldn't resort to such. it's an age old problem.

Orange flames and black smoke engulfed the landmark 400-room Taj Mahal hotel after dawn Saturday as Indian forces ended the siege in a hail of gunfire, just hours after elite commandos stormed a Jewish center and found six hostages dead.
Lives of the Jews seem so fragile, I think.
What can I say? I'm still standing! No weapon against me shall prosper! I am more than a conqueror!!!

I don't care to sit by the window on an airplane. If I can't control it, why look?

It's sad and difficult to deal with people w/ the mentality, "i have nothing to lose."

Lately, I've been feeling a bit of that myself.

Not to the point of shooting people or throwing bombs, but yeah...you know.

If dealing with this in personal life, it's just a phase that everyone goes through.

If dealing with politics, this is pretty much "kamikaze attack" where the innocents protecting the country can have no plan but to attack the people they care. Yes, I always backed up US government.
