Default Your feelings on Horror Movies

    1. Do you ever become paranoid after watching a Horror flick? Like someone or something is out there, and it wants to get you?
    2. What are your general feelings towards Horrors?
    3. What are your favorite Horrors?
    4. What horror scened scared you the most?

I get frightened easily by gory and psychological horror and I like the eerie atmosphere that the movies put you in.

That bathroom scene from The Shining was absolutey distubing. The music probably made it even more bizzare and whack. Come to think of it, the music in the movie never changed.

You know what's strange though? Three years ago when I saw a few scenes from The Ring, I was frightened and had trouble moving about because I found the events too disturbing. Now, I do get a little scared, but I hardly become paranoid about them. Or maybe I haven't seen a horror that's frightening enough.

How come horror movies get such bad rapt from film critics? Is it because it's too unrealistic? And often, I find when reading reviews, I have no clue what the world the critic is going on about. In my view, they look silly and they seem to try to appear significant with the language they use, and in some cases, critics just ramble on without ever addressing why the film was so bad, in a clear and concise tone. Urrgh, some critics [most on Rotten Tomatoes] I feel, are just negative about a film for the sake of being negative.

I don't mind gory-horror like those Saw or Hostel movies. I like to watch horror in general but some real HORRIFYING scenes stay in me for some time but I'll be right in a few days. My most memorable horror movie is the Thai version of Shutter. That girl...

    Default EEK!!!!!!!!!

Any and all movies or books that are the least bit scary frighten me SO much. I am scared of movies that are supposed to be funny with some "scary" parts.

I am scared of The Gremlins movie.

So I'll stick to reading wuxia.

Well, Gu Long books for example are not entirely devoid of some profoundly "gothic" elements...;-)

I can't stand horror movies AT ALL!
I think it's due to the tension because I don't know if something disgusting or scary will pop out .
Seriously, no clue where the thrill comes in. Instead, it gives me the shiver and goosebumps .

    1. Do you ever become paranoid after watching a Horror flick? Like someone or something is out there, and it wants to get you?

Sometimes, but I rarely watch Scary movies. I'm a chicken , sadly.

    2. What are your general feelings towards Horrors?

Horrific and I can't stand the scary excitement.

    3. What are your favorite Horrors?

    NONE

    4. What horror scened scared you the most?

When something scary pops out of nowhere along with the music. ESPECIALLY, the sound of the beating heart annoys the heck out of me .

Yes, I am getting paranoid now. Can someone explain to me whether switching off the TV in "The Ring" helps? If not, why?

The filed teeth of the dead knight in 'Sleepy Hollow' bothered me for nights. But the worst case was this old Hong Kong horror film, where the creature attacks by ambush and surprise... It loves springing attacks from the ceiling, so I ended up checking the ceiling for YEARS after watching that film. Doesn't stop me from being a horror film junkbox for many years though.

No, it doesn't. Sadako comes out from anything that reflects. Once she marked you and you don't get rid of the 'mark' the way she designated, you are doomed.

I also remember a movie poster. In my mind for years.

It was a hospital bed with a patient lying on it, but UNDER the bed, there is also a... ghost lying on the floor right under the patient.

Sometimes I think there is something unnatural under my bed.

I hate horror. I can't even read horror books, let alone watch all those special effects which makes the imagination come into reality.

I like to scare the crap out of myself and live to regret it. Then I'll do it again the next chance I get.

    i second the motion.

i usually watch horror when im with my brother. its our bonding time together. The thing i like best about horror movies though, are that there are usually a lot of eye candy, especially in ensemble casts. Then you watch them die, morbid huh? I get a kick out of guessing who survives. Producers are getting smarter these days and like to throw viewers off the loop

I love watching horror movies at night. You'll sleep on it, and in the morning you've forgetten everything; when I watch horror in the day, it's on my mind more.. Strange isn't it?

I tend to enjoy horror movies that have a good plot rather than just the gore and violence. The Ring, White Noise are just some of my favourites but it was The Grudge that scared me the most.

I find that horror games are a lot scarier than horror movies 'cos you are more involved with the surroundings and it's more interactive as opposed to watching a movie.

i also like the creepy kind of movies better than the gorey ones. they stay with you more. especially the ones that are supposedly based on true stories.

i also think the creepy kind do a better job with the ghosts. to me, a bloody thing crawling towards me is not scary. makes me want to go help him up and call 911.

i think the scariest ghosts or monsters are the kinds that resemble every day alive ppl. or little children.... like...
