Wow~ yet ANOTHER JY adaptation?

Anyway, there seem to be some miscasts. Where's the gentle and "good-looking" ZWJ? And what's with his bangs? Surely there're better ways than making it look like dry hay? ZZR looks pretty but seems a bit too mature for this ZWJ?

Are you talking about the old chubby man that played as the emperor from Pearl Princess? No, he's not playing Yang Xiao aka Duong Tieu again, he already done his part (badly) in the 2003 version. It's a different actor this version, but in my eyes, this actor is not much better looking as that chubby man. This actor is only tall but I don't see any charming or suave image to him.

I meant that the 2003 version had a really bad looking YX and now this version too! It's like the director only focuses on having YX as a father and not the suave playboy that he was when he was young. I hate this! Because of Eddie's portrayal in 2000, I grew to love YX and he was one of my favorite characters from the serie. The 2003 version of YX and this one are butchering that beautiful image!!

Thanks for the update Tiff! Yeah, Ady got a short break after filming continuously and hence, went for a day's tour in a nearby city with He Zhuoyan.

Seems like they're going to wrap up filming in Wudang soon. Part of the crew have already left and arrived at their next filming destination- Peach Blossom Island in Zhejiang province. ZJZ will apparently be present during filming on the island. The entire crew, which consists of more than 300 people and 40 truckloads of equipment/props will arrive on the 18th of this month, where they will spend the next 1 month or so filming.

Lu Chen (YBH) is another beautiful lady, I think she's the most pretty YBH till date and same goes for this adaptation's Zhu'er, though Chen Zihan, who acted as Zhu'er in the 2003 version is also a very pretty actress.

The little girls are very cute-looking though i wonder why on earth must they be dressed in similar colours with similar-looking hairstyles? Makes it a chore when trying to differentiate who is who. And not sure whether I mentioned this before but little YBH's outfit (the one with the shiny pink boots and pink fur vest) looks too modern for a period series!

Sunnysnow, thanks for picts again too- and the little YBH is sooo cute! Actually cuter than the little ZZR.. but maybe that's because the little YBH has more screen time so is considered a more major role?

The grown-up YBH is very sweet... though I can't quite imagine her with the Yin Li Ting in this version... hopefully they look good together in action!

And the battle scenes look good, considering this is a wuxia rather than historic drama.

Oh my gosh, this Zhiruo looks quiet old and ugly. She looks more like his mom instead of lover. She probably the most ugly zhou Zhirou I have see so far compare to the other that have portrays in the past such as, Sheren Tang, Kathy Chow, Charmaine Sheh, and Gao Yuan Yuan. They're all pretty lady!

Its probably too early to tell but judging by how ZJZ's production team usually works, it'll be a wonder if they could release it by the end of next year. I remember ROCH'06 started filming around the same period- Oct or Nov 2004 but it was only released in Feb/March 2006.

I also like the fact that he has his arm protectively around her- its all very sweet!

Alas, I'm afraid you're right Sunny, we're probably in for a looong wait... though I'm still hoping for a 2009 release, perhaps there were extenuating circumstances to ROCH taking so long in the editing? Or perhaps they were waiting for the right spot to open up on the CCTV channel?

Yeah, ROCH was quite a special case because of editing problems. They originally planned for a 50 episode release or smtg and were forced to cut it down to around 40 episodes hence the delay and the extra-horrible cutting of scenes which made the series very choppy and incoherent on the whole. But generally, ZJZ's series usually take longer than normal to release. Even BXJ, which was slightly more than 30 episodes and took only 3 months or so to film was only released after quite a long wait.

However, it does look like they're keeping to schedule for filming. They planned for 2 months in Wudang and it seems like they're wrapping up soon and heading for the next filming destination.

Hmm, probably because Wudang's pretty inaccessible, hence the lack of news clips. I dont think many reporters would be keen to climb all the way up Wudang's highest peak just for an interview or to record snippets of filming. We'll probably get to see more clips when they start filming in the more accessible Zhejiang province. And more clips also usually start appearing after filming is over and editing starts. I know ZJZ or whoevever likes to release a preview clip (which is usually quite long) for the audience in the midst of editing.

Also hope for good and original music for this series. The last few series, starting from ROCH all had pretty lousy music, which was disappointing, considering how good the music was for LOCH, TLBB and even XAJH.
