She does look very wistful, and none of the other ZM's (in my scanty memory) have done that. I would characterize Liza's attitude here as dmanding, Kitty's as confident, Alyssa as determined and Gigi as serious, but none of them as wistful.

Interesting... it might be a good thing Ady having a unique interpretation of ZM... if only we could see a clip of this scene, then we can truly see if we like it- in any case I can't wait to see the new face and new aspect of ZM!

Hi Sunnysnow, thanks again, another treasure trove of pictures!

Actually Liu Jing looks positively lovely in those pictures of her wedding- delicate and almost glowing! And I must be really getting used to DC, because in the picture of him looking at ZM at the wedding (from Liu Jing's blog) he looks pretty handsomely sad! )

Liu Jing also looks great in her up-do in green and white with her fellow Er mei folks- that little clip gave me a sense of her elegance and class... was just reading about ZWJ's first glimpse at the grown up ZZR, and indeed his impression is of great delicacy, elegance and beauty. Liu Jing might just be starting to live up to that!

And the clip of ZWJ chasing after ZM was actually very funny... I guess it was an NG, and everyone was laughing. Interesting, ZM walked rather than stalked out of the hall... she did make ZM seem sad rather than angry!

It seem like ZM walked away after ZWJ was reluctant to leave with her??? She doesn't seem to be injured yet. Maybe ZWJ will run after her and finally decide to go with her, then ZZR will attack her.

Don't know I feel those scenes that VNY posted were so cool. the way ZZR attacked ZM like a beautiful ghost w/ long fingernails and her face was so cold when looking @ ZM, neither hate nor sad, just cold , & ZM face in the last pic was so confused ha ha ha , she must be thinking "what 's this girl doing ? "
Anyway I like ZZR now, even she's not pretty, but don't feel disappointed as before, especially after the cat fight scene

I guess it is one of HSDS's amusing parts where ZZR and ZM 'switch' archetypes in the middle of the story- ZZR becomes the chilly-hearted, evil one, and ZM the warm, good guy.

These pictures definitely made ZM seem sad while ZZR seem wicked.... though I have to admit, I like the wicked ZZR better than the docile ZZR!

ZM was probably trying to block ZZR's attack but missed and got to see ZZR's ZYBGZ claws successfully attack her!

Liu Jing's expressions look pretty good in the pics where ZZR attacks ZM but the make-up and hairstyle makes her look even older than normal. She actually looks twice ZM's age in the first pic.

Speculations are that the pics are from the scene where ZWJ cannot decide which lady he loves most and imagines how nice it would be to marry and live with all 4 women. This scene is only present in the 3rd edition of the novel.

ZZR only attacks ZM after ZWJ chases after the latter and tells her that he agrees to leave with her. So ZM shouldn't be injured in that clip.

And yeah, I have no idea why she seems to be strolling out of the hall rather then taking quick and snappy steps. But at least ZWJ is chasing after her as opposed to the 2003 version where ZM actually stopped and waited for him to make up his mind.

why does zhu er have blue lips in the wedding costume? if its wuji's daydream, shouldn't he be daydreaming too that zhu er is healthy and non-poisoned (she doesn't seem to have a scar either).

Definitely, put that together with the fact that she seemed really sad at the wedding might mean that in this version, Ady might have chosen to have ZM feel that ZWJ really has fallen for ZZR. Which might explain her sad looks and her heavy steps leaving the hall- but yes, a resigned ZM is still more dignified than a ZM lingering to see if ZWJ would follow her!

Thank you Sunnysnow for the pict'ies as well! Really interesting to see all the four women side-by-side in full wedding gear... somehow don't think the hair suits any of them very well, but XZ comes out best of the women in the pictures.

Though I'm still miffed at the third version for making ZWJ more indecisive and "tuo ni dai shui" than prior versions by imagining the 'easy' way out of making a tough decision (i.e., not deciding at all and instead marrying all four of them!)!

Alas, if this version really is going to follow the book faithfully, then we can only look forward to an ambiguous ending that smacks more of comedy than a good dramatic finish!

Zhang Meng is really cute, all of the 4 ladies look good. Ady looks more mature in wedding outfit. I think it's cool to have a wedding scene like that.
