Agree, ZM definely looks better in these wedding scene pix compare to previous ones. I like the 3rd pix too, she seemed more confident. But overall, Ady still seem sad or something.

Yeah, somehow she has this tint of sadness in her eyes though. I guess the lighting and make-up also makes her look pale in the pics. Nonetheless, I hope she looks good in action.

I cannot believe this, this girl play ZZR? My God! Why don't the director let Zhang Meng play ZZR. This chick is not pretty enough to play ZZR. Even Charmain Sheh looks better than her as ZZR, and I didn't think Charmain did that good in her role.
I never seen this actress before, from the pics she doesn't fit in well with the ZZR role.

Agreed. Even Charmaine Sheh looks better as ZZR. ZZR is my favorite character in HSDS too, damn.




This is the best picture i seen so far of wutang. So far the series looks a whole lot more realistic than HSDS 2003. The costumes, scenery and sets all look fantastic. HSDS 2003 looks like child's play compared to this version.

Sunnysnow, I really love the pictures and description behind the use of colors. (And Tifftiff/Ilsunjo, we can rejoice that it is ZWJ/ZM, not ZWJ/ZZR who gets to wear the matching white lovers color with each other! )

Beautifully done - specially the blue of brotherhood is very striking!

And yes, Zhang Meng looks very beautiful and poignant as Zhu-er, not to mention her story is actually quite touching and they are going to give it more emphasis than in prior versions. (Though I did like them having Zhu'er and her father more of a story in the 2000 version, giving her a sort of happy ending.)

The pictures of ZWJ and YBH as kids is very cute- adorable little ones, specially the kid YBH actress!

Also really enjoy ZCS and YSS picts- ZCS really is very dashing and has lovely expressions- looking forward very much to their part of the story.

Ah.. it is going to be a LONG 9 months (or more!) until we get to see the finished product! Urg!

Well, if you want to do color comparision, ZZR was wearing whitish/bluish, while ZWJ wore all blue. Never less, ZM & ZWJ looks cuter together, because Ady doesn't look as old as Liu Jing

Hi Tifftiff and Sunnysnow, hmm... I suspect the look on ZM at the wedding is deliberate- I think Ady's ZM is actually rather hurt or maybe disappointed by ZWJ's decision to marry ZZR, and her eyes showed her sadness over it!

Not a bad idea I think, since Ady does tragic well, and the period leading up to the wedding is one of the tragic parts for ZM.... can't wait to see ZM's interactions with her father too!

DMJ is very nice looking- hope she also does evil/petty convincingly!

So do you think, if ZWJ and ZZR were both wearing blue, it could be the blue of brotherhood?? Okay, okay, I'm pushing it!

On a side note: A second look at the picture of ZWJ and the 4 red-clad brides that Sunnysnow you just posted, makes me think actually that Ady looks very good in that one- she is the least over-dressed/fussy of the four- so comes off elegant and beautiful.

Yeah the new one looks pretty decent. But have to see her in action to tell if she's good. The Mie Jue in 2003 seemed 'too nice' compared to the other Mie Jue's.

The youngest-looking (and my least favourite) MJ has got to be the one from the 2000 version.

On a side note: I just watched the trailer for the latest ROTTK and although she appears only for a few seconds, I think Liu Jing (who acts as Da Qiao in there) looks pretty good in action. In fact, she looks alot prettier in that series as compared to in here.

Specially the ones with the horses- something so wild and care-free about riding them. (Okay, now I'm envious that ZWJ and ZZR seem to get the most beautiful pictures! )

I like the one with ZWJ being chased by ZM-it's my favorite sort of set-up, when the lead characters can laugh together. Makes their relationship seem so much more light-hearted.... plus DC looks much nicer when he smiles.

I'm also happy that when ZWJ and ZM ride a horse together, it is ZM who is with the reins... it makes sense- she's Mongolian afterall, and isn't good horsemanship part of what made them such successful conquerors?

Is that second last picture one of ZM riding solo? It's a cool shot!

ZM with claws... perhaps that's what ZWJ envisioned happened on Snake Island when he thought it was ZM who killed Zhu-er? Or, do you think this is the part where ZM arranges for a float showing the story of ZZR trying to poison Golden-haired Lion king and she herself takes on the role of ZZR?
(Sorry, I've given up on spoiler tags- hopefully almost everyone is happy about being spoiled or else has already seen at least one version of HSDS!)
