Can anyone tell me is Liu Shi Shi playing as Xiao Long Nu

She plays the Lady Yang/Lady in Yellow Robe, a descendant of XLN and YG.

I don't think so - Xiao Long Nu would be a very old lady by the time this story takes place. When Zhang Junbao / Zhang Sanfeng appears in ROCH he's just a young boy. By the time HSDS begins he's celebrating his hundredth birthday. XLN is a young woman when he meets her, so she's at least 6 or 7 years older than him.

When Zhang Junbao appeared in ROCH, XLN was already about 38 years or so old. Zhang Junbao was only 14 or 15 then so he's actually about 24 years younger than XLN.

It's scheduled to finish filming by March and the earliest possible release date is October/November this year.

I think Ken looks very handsome and manly as ZCS, not to mention has the "Righteous" look.

I think YSS looks pretty.. maybe her hair makes her look old or something... or maybe too much black.

Most of adaptations followed the novel, ZCS cut his own throat with his sword. But in HSDS86, he stabbed his sword to his own stomach, and pulled it out again then he placed the tip of the sword on the ground. Uhh, hard to explain, but he died in a cool pose In Jet Li's movie, I think ZCS commited suicide using his inner power? Not sure... but he didn't use a sword at all.

Oh I haven't seen the 86 version yet. I watched 00 & 03 , Even I really like Phyllis Quek , still not fond of Wuji 's parents in 03 ( not a fan of Alec, may be that's a reason) , and the parents of WUJi in 00 were too old for the roles even their actings were superb

Yeah, dont know why they have to make YSS this old and plain-looking. Luckily Wang Yuanke is a pretty actress and hence doesnt look bad.

I love the pix where ZM bite ZWJ's hand, I guess the pix from Houyee's blog left that one out. We thought she was holding ZWJ's hand with love and sincere, turned out she lured him on and bite him, well, even in his dream, she still tricked him

The horse riding pix are cool too, is that ZWJ and ZM? It look like a stunt double or something. I'm surpise they didn't ride together on the same horse.

Yeah, its very obvious those are stunt doubles..especially the one for ZM. I guess they're riding on different horses probably 'cause ZM is well and not injured? The ones of ZM and ZWJ on the same horse seems to be right after the wedding scene where ZM was seriously injured, hence unable to ride on her own.

I don't know who the guy in blue is, not sure what character he would be. I remember in the 1986 version, ZM & ZWJ came across this guy from Shaolin (dressed in normal outfit, not monk type) and he was going to pass out the invitation to the sects to come to Shaolin to kill/revenge Xie Xun. ZM tricked him something, so maybe that's the guy in blue? Maybe Sunny or Yanfeng or other Chinese friends can translate to us

Sorry I was away hiking for 10 days, so just managed to come back to check all the new pictures and updates- awesome!

Like you guys, also am tickled and find it very nicely portrayed that even in ZWJ's dreams he continues to be befuddled by ZM- cool scene!

(The comment that the girls' expression express how ZWJ feels about each is a great one- after reading that, I went and looked at the pictures again, and indeed I would say it's accurate to claim he feels tenderness and yet bewilderment for ZM and sorrow/guilt for Zhu'er, as their expressions show!)

And yes Tifftiff, I think that might be the scene where ZM tricks one of Chen Kun's lackies into leaving them alone (even though ZWJ should be injured at this point as well... by ZM's brother's/father's cronies- that's a longish explaination for another time!) and also handing over the invite to the "Slaying Lion Meet" ZM fools the lacky into thinking that his "death point" has been hit by ZM, and he will die unless he follows ZM's every command.

Amazing shots of people on horses again!

I actually like the shots of ZM and her 7 warriors on horses entering the gates of some city- very awesome lot of lean, mean-looking Mongolian warriors with spikes and furs, bows and arrows, in contrast to ZM's soft fur cape and elegant carriage. Makes for a cool entrance for ZM!

ZCS is really amazing looking on a horse... that man should never be photographed without one!

Can't wait for the ZCS/YSS story- seems like it's going to be beautifully shot. (Bamboo grooves are one of my favorite backdrops for wuxia after watching the likes of Crouching Tiger and House of Flying daggers. And again here, those are put to good use in the pictures with ZCS.)

PS I think it's great fun that the blogger is being an extra.... it would be hilarious to play the game of "spot-the-blogger" when the serial comes out at last! (Imagine how much fun it is for the blogger himself! Alas... I think I'm turning a funny shade of green again... sigh....)
