The articles states that Ady fell ill recently but refused to take leave as she didn't want filming to be delayed because of her. To her surprise, being ill worked in her favor for she had to film a scene where ZM had her accupoints sealed and had lost all energy.

Poor Ady, her health seems not of the best, and the killing schedule with soaks into freezing water probably doesn't help. She does look pale in the pictures- yikes!

I think the second pic makes WYK's face a bit to square. I kind of like it if her hair is down a little more not all of her hair is pulled back, emphasizing her sharp squarish fasce.. but overall, a much more suave represenation than Ady.

Somehow WYK's male disguise reminds me of Sharla Cheung's male disguise for ZM. Similar hairstyle, black cloak and all. Plus, WYK looks sharp and cunning in those pics, pretty fitting for YSS! She's probably the best-looking YSS till date! Same goes for Ken Chang's ZCS. I have a feeling I'll really like this couple in this particular adaptation.

YSS also looks extremely cool in this post. She really reminds me of Jiang Xin's Mu Wanqing in TLBB.

WYK does looked suave and charming. I think her face is naturally kind of square already. It's funny when 2 actresses Ady & WYK with similiar roles (personality wise: cunning, arrogant, thought to be evil but turned out good) looks better in male disguises compare to female outfits . Maybe both of WYK and Ady's female clothes are not pretty to begin with

I actually like ZZR from the beginning. My fav portrayal was from SHeren Tang thus far, and from mfav HSDS remake However, I was rooting for Ady to ZM.. so might as well support her now

It's funny because almost 2 years ago, in Ady's thread in the Actress forum, there was a debate on who will be cast as ZM in ZJZ's version of HSDS. Alot of names was thrown in as potential for the role of ZM, lots of pretty actresses to mention. All of Ady's fans supported her and now she got the role! I'm really happy for her.

Ganryu, where's the love for ZZR? Nah, none, just a pity feeling. I'm kidding. I feel bad for ZZR at the end though. When she kidnapped ZM and seal all of ZM's accupoints, she was pouring her feelings out to ZWJ, saying something like "I love you too, I love you with all my heart" but ZWJ still turned her down. Well, after so many things happened, it was hard to forgive her.

I still think Sharla Cheung ZM was sexier than Gigi Lai ZZR, ZZR role was so weird in that movie, well, that adaptation was weird and the plot was altered/butchered badly to begin with . I thought Chingmy or something, the actress for XZ was so pretty and cute!

For casting looks, I think the 2003 version had the best female casts. But beauty is such a subjective issue, we can't agree on who's prettier than another

yeah the ZZR role was weird in the Jet Li movie. Actually the whole movie is kinda perverted. lot of those perverted jokes it's probably the most perverted wuxia series i've seen. but the filmography and special effects were amazing. I wish HSDS can look like that in TV adaptations.

I felt bad when ZWJ left her at the altar just because he saw Golden Lion's hair

The 2003 version definitely had the most pretty ZM and ZZR. That kept me going even though the plot changed so much. There wasn't that much emphasis on everybody else aside from ZWJ, ZM and ZZR because they wanted to give those 3 star actor/actresses lot of screen time. I'm hoping this new version will be kinda like the 1986 version in terms of plot.

btw GYY, is prettiest ZZR of all, but I prefer Sheren b/c overall acting/look/portrayal I like ZZR's character.. but Charmaine killed it.... KILLED IT.

Actually i would say GYY's ZZR is the prettiest wuxia character ever of any serial.

I'm not really a fan of ZM or ZZR but I remember disliking ZZR but at the same time, couldn't help feeling amazed by how smart and scheming she was in this scene when i read the novel. She intentionally hid ZM in the bushes to make the latter hear her conversation with ZWJ. Knowing how soft-hearted ZWJ was and how much guilt he felt towards her, ZZR probably predicted that even if he loved ZM, he would not have the heart to tell her that. And ZZR probably knew that ZM (who at this point, had already given up everything to be with ZWJ) would be heartbroken and leave if she heard how wishy washy and undecided ZWJ still was. I dont think ZZR had expected ZWJ to tell her that the woman he loved most was ZM.

The next scene also showed how clever ZZR was- with the trap she devised to lure Zhu'er out. Though it might also be possible that ZZR did intend to kill ZWJ and ZM in a fit of anger but came up with a brilliant excuse to redeem herself when Zhu'er appeared to stop her.

Charmaine's ZZR was more crazed and psychotic rather than jealous, vengeful and dejected. Hence, it was difficult to identify, empathize with or even respect her ZZR.

On top of being beautiful, cold and classy, GYY's ZZR was also portrayed with more dejection, remorse and dignity, making it difficult for me to dislike the character even after all the evil things she did.

Hi Sunny, I don't think ZZR can kill ZWJ, her kung fu is not as high as ZWJ, ZWJ might be soft heart again and be injured, but not kill. I thought what ZZR should have done is kill ZM, if she really want to choose that as "my way or the high way" . If she think she can't have ZWJ, then why not kill the woman he loves the most, making him suffer . Not that I want ZM to die though. I thought ZZR over estimate herself, thinking ZWJ wouldn't have the gut to turned her down, or maybe ZZR didn't realize how much ZWJ & ZM are inlove. I guess never under estimate your enemy?

I think different versions have different portrayals of ZZR. To this day, I cannot like Charmaine's ZZR. I thought her acting was bad, she had to shake her head and her hair to look evil. I only like Sheren and GYY's ZRR only. Somehow GYY's version was so predictable, especially the scene at Snake Island. They already show ZZR telling ZM to leave, sent her to the boat, then killing Shu Er. The 1986 version was a mystery, we didn't know what happened until the very end. I like mystery like that
