There are too many scenes that I like from HSDS 86 version. There were some really boring scenes though, like the ones with YBH & YLT. Other than that, I like everyone from that version. Yes, including that creepy old MJST too, ahahhaha

Now that you brought it up, we haven't seen any pictures of romantic moments between YBH/YLT in this version, have we? YBH/YLT scenes always bored me in all adaptations and it never made me feel like rooting for them. But YBH in this adaptation is very pretty and YLT is not bad too. I hope to see a good chemistry between them.

I also hope ZWJ/YBH here has that siblings chemistry I always love^^

I like how the scenery was pretty cheap back then. I think the forrest that ZZr walked in was the same forest that ZWJ and ZM were in for the previous scene. Wonder if she saw Zm's trail of blood?

Man the new ZZR is super thin !

One thing i liked about the ZZR in 03 (besides her looks) is her hairpiece. i liked how they changed it when she became 'evil'. It was a nice touch by the costume director

seeing ZWJ protecting/holding a girl in his arms minutes after he was about to marry another girl makes me go it just sounds so unfaithful... i know it was cause of the XX thing. but why would ZWJ believe ZM when at that moment, he was supposed to still think that ZM was the one who killed Zhu Er?

It was a threat because ZZR refused to give in to her (ZM) demands- of displaying E'mei Sect's fighting stances. Probably also because she was jealous of ZZR's beauty (which she assumed was the reason why ZWJ got stabbed earlier at Brightness Peak).

Because ZM had strands of XX's hair with her as proof that she knew of the latter's whereabouts. It was also hinted in the novel that deep down, ZWJ was not absolutely willing to marry ZZR so ZM's appearance (with info on XX) probably gave him the perfect excuse to escape the wedding.

Yeah the 1986 version was awesome. They even have the Guo Xiang part at the beginning. I don't think other adaptations even show this part. No i'm chinese. Learned that phrase to use on viet girls lol

Hmmm I think ZWJ actually does have feelings for ZZR; in fact, the earlier ZZR is probably an epitome of every guy's dream- beautiful, graceful, gentle, kind and intelligent. ZWJ would probably have gladly married her if ZM never appeared. I dont think ZWJ had any major qualms about marrying ZZR (eventhough he was sort of obligated and pressured to do it by XX and ZZR) but he probably felt uneasy because he had feelings for ZM as well. He's like what JY described- wanting to have the cake and eat it. Since he had feelings for both women, he probably thought it best not to marry/commit himself to any one of them yet (so that he could "run away" from the problem and take his own sweet time to choose).

Nontheless, its quite clear that he chooses ZM in the end, though the 3rd edition had him still unsettled and wishfully thinking of marrying all 4 women. I dont think it was love-at-first-sight when he first saw ZM; he was clearly attracted to her but i dont think he loved her then. It was only after ZM ruins the wedding and gives her wealth, status and family up for him did I actually think ZWJ truly reciprocated her love for him.

I dont like the new Zhou Zhi ru, her appearance doesnt look anything special. also she is not really good looking. Is she a new actress? They should put someone better for the role of Zhou Zhi ru, someone like ruby lin. Also the new Zhang wu ji, not really interested in him. I dont even know anyone new from this new version except for Ady an.

According to the blogger, those were the last few scenes for the dialogue team (filming is split into either the dialogue or fights team, former is directed by Yu Min and latter, Zhao Jian)- so filming for the d team has officially ended. There are probably still some fight scenes to complete before filming officially wraps up. Hopefully a trailer is released soon!

BTW, filming took place indoors because the weather was bad. The green backdrop usually means they'll add in CG-ed backgrounds in the final product.
