The scene where ZM holding ZWJ, is that the end? I hope not . Or maybe that is right after ZM heal her wound from the wedding and they were attack by her father's men???

Or is that the battle scene at Shaolin, when the Mongolian attacked Shaolin???

Hi Sunnysnow, great picts- nice way to send off Ady! (I was reading the article you posted on her and was amused to see that she's in high demand right now... and there're no less than 7 scripts awaiting her at her company- ranging from idol dramas to historic to wuxia... fingers crossed they pick another wuxia for her! )

I agree that scene seems like the one where her brother's(?) soldiers surround them, ZWJ is injured and ZM 'breaks' with her family. Perhaps this version has her being forced to do that to save ZWJ? (He does look pretty beat up!) It's pretty dramatic- all those flames and then drenching rain! (Bet this scene will look good in the trailer!)

Haha! Tifftiff, you're a truly focused woman... the end of 5 months of filming for Ady and you're still thinking about her tribal outfit!

But you might be right, she doesn't wear her 2 tribal outfits much- just one scene with her 'masculine' outfit with the dangly headgear, and maybe 2 scenes (her first appearance, and then her at the burning of the Wan An temple) with her second tribal outfit which is covered with a cape.

Though, I'm pretty happy with her Mongolian battle outfit (black, as seen in her last filmed scene) and her purple royal outfit as well, which she seems to get to wear more... I'm still not entirely sure I like her white-and-red one, but we'll see how it looks moving!

Maybe tha's what's been wrong with her costuming the whole time- she looks SO much younger in this hair... if only they would go back and give her this hairdo in all her scenes, perhaps she wouldn't have had to suffer so much criticism over her wuxia look poor her. She really is a gorgeous woman in real life.

I suspect she'll look much better in motion than she does in still photos. The lighting will be a little bit different, and let's face it - people never look in real life the way they look in a photograph.

Those photos of Ady and DC are pretty dramatic - fire and rain together! I feel sorry for the actors, though. That's got to be unpleasant to shoot.

This one is my favorite of the lot, she looks so protective, cradling ZWJ like that! It's the reverse of the wedding scene, when ZWJ is defensively holding onto an injured ZM.... it would be cute if it wasn't so tragic!

Blast JY and the script writers who decided to follow the 3rd edition ending! Why can't it be a decisively, romantically happy ending for ZWJ and ZM like most of the other adaptations?

hey guys guess what? my grandma went back to china over the chinese new year in february and she just got back. apparently, she knows yu cheng hui (the guy that plays zhang san feng in this version of HSDS) personally - apparently, they used to work together or something. he used to be on a martial arts team and she was the team doctor, or something like that. they're friends. i was like, what?! lol she even went to his house and managed to take a few pictures with him!

my grandma is on the left. i must say, yu cheng hui looks the same at home as he does on the set.

haha i totally agree. ive discussed this before, but i still dont get why jin yong always has to edit his novels. i tend to like the 1st endings better in most of them anyway.

I just re-watch the 1986 version with the part where XX appear. Man, Kenneth Tsang was so cool looking No wonder why so many people like him as HSY in LOCH 1983

I have a question, if I remember clearly, the 2003 with Phyllis Kwok as YSS, she recognize and know who XX was, and XX acknowlege the he know her since a little kid, he knew that she is tricky and cunning, but why the 1986 & 2000 version, YSS doesn't know XX or his relation to her father. In the book, which is correct? Does YSS even know XX is on the same rank as her father (White Brown Eagle King) in the Ming Sect???

Meanwhile I went and reread the scene where Xie Xun first appears and it seems like YSS addresses him as "Qian Bei" (Elder), a generic word for a martial artist of an older generation- so not really particularly dearly and she doesn't seem to refer to having met him before.

However, I think the fact that 03 made it that way makes sense... afterall YSS's father and Xie Xun were fellow Ming Sect "Kings" and it seems plausible that YSS would have met Xie Xun before, or at least heard of him via her father.

And babiadorkable, the news is that this version is going to be faithful to JY's 3rd edition ending, when ZWJ ends up with ZM, but is really still undecided about which girl he really loves. When "original" is discussed here, it sometimes refers to the 1st edition ending, when it is undisputed that ZWJ loves ZM best... and as you can tell, some of us ZM fans are distressed about that- urg!
