    Default Restaurant.com gift certificates

They sell $25 gift certificates for $10. I got a few at $2 bucks each during their X-mas sale. Has anyone used this before?

Yes, there are good when they have 60-80% off. I haven't used because none of the restaurants that I want to go is on the their list. But, my friends have used them before.

Anyway, READ the FINE PRINT before going to the restaurant.

yeah, i didn't read the fine print

most restaurants aren't on there--or unknown ones.

Some are weird. You can only come in from 4-6PM and must order this, this, and this.

I thought it was a hassle and the food wasn't that great. With my $25 dollars give certificate for $2, i went to an italian restaurant. Ordered according to fine print at 4:30PM (wasn't even hungry yet), ordered a cheese appetizer $10, salad and spaghetti for two, required to buy wine. Total for 2 people was $23, so it wasn't that great. I could have gone to the Olive Garden and gotten a better deal without certificate (and no glass of wine).

Just used my first $25 certificate and it was a pretty good experience. Mine didn't have much restriction, other than Saturday excluded. Some other restaurants may impose greater restrictions.

i've used them before and so far i've really like them! i love getting certificates for the new restaurants that i'll like to try out.

and for $2, it's great. we tried this philipino? restaurant's (almost like fast-food take out) beef and port skewers and they are so good we bought a bunch more certificates.

also tried zokku in downtown and their food are some of the best too.

i mainly use these certificates for new asian restaurants in town so i can try them out. i love those little hole in the wall restaurants. they can be quite good.

i don't think they do the 80% off often. once in a long while, i will see the 80% off (making it $2) otherwise i think it's more like 60%.
