Flash Player 10 problem

Hey computer experts. I have a problem with the latest Flash Player.
After trying to download it many times I finally succeeded. [every time I got to a download site it froze] The file I finally got shows its size to be 1.7 MB which is correct. However, after opening the file and running it, a check of the program list doesn’t show it as being present. A check via control panel shows the program name, but the file size is blank. What’s blocking the installation?

Finally fixed the problem after much searching on the net. It turned out the fix was actually on the MS site. After wasting my time following all of their suggested potential fixes....without success I might add....I found the answer in another part of the IE 7 verbage which admitted that IE 7 might be wonky and maybe an uninstall might work! It did!!!!
