    I just read the 200+ chapters of Hunter x Hunter.

    Anyone who is a fan here?

    Anyone know when the story will resume?

    Why is there a couple of interruptions to the story- is the mangaka sick?

    I was a huge fan years ago when the manga just came out. The drawings recently have been crap as if a child drew it. There have been many talks about the author being sick but no one really knows for sure. Pity though this could of been one of the best selling manga up there with Naruto.

    Sparky (: and I have been reading Hunter x Hunter. It is probably my favorite manga, although I am a little bored with the Chimera ants arc. There are lots of rumors regarding its return - but they mostly seem to be just that, rumors. Similarly you can find any number of stories as to why it keeps going on hiatus ranking from the author being sick to him being just too rich to want to bother much with it anymore. minutemanwayne pointed out that poor quality of some of the recent drawings which has been presented as evidence in support of the sickness explanation.

    Yeah, I agree the Chimera Arc has gone on too long and isn't very interesting. I hope it continues soon.

    the English translation of the lastest chapter has been done (mangahelpers.com), it may take 1 day or 2 for teh scanlators to put it into the pictures.

    man, it's been almost 1 year since chapter 290 was published. hopefully this crappy Chimera arc will be concluded before the author takes YET ANOTHER GODDAMN LONG hiatus,

    This time the author says the reason for the long hiatus is he's too busy with his second child (the baby is about one year old now).

    I like the earlier arcs - interesting concepts and worldbuilding - but yeah, the recent art is a huge turn-off.
