I'm not sure XLN's version of Jade Maiden is necessarily superior to the two person version. For instance, the two person version in its complete form leaves no flaws. However, XLN was able to wield her version much faster lending it another form of power.
I suppose the two-person version was greater in terms of technique while the XLN's version was greater in terms of speed (and the fact someone with L/R can use it on their own).
However, it's undeniable that XLN's swordplay improved. With L/R she could have just as easily dual-wielded swords and used just Ancient Tomb swordplay with both hands. The speed would still be there but it would not have the power of her wielding Ancient Tomb with one hand and QZ in the other combining into Jade Maiden.
In her case, her speed coupled with the technique became the power.

True, but I was trying to answer the OP's question about what would a swordsman do to overcome a LDA master, and the answer is speed. It's true that speed + sword should be more effective than either speed or sword by its own and maybe that's what Wei Yixiao needed and didn't have (which Xiao Longnu did have).
