Hehehe, I finally received the items from the Myolie fanclub and its great!!! I ordered two pics and she looks gorgeous in them!!! Also got a poster of Myolie promoting the shampoo product I think, the U-plus magizine, a birthday card, and thats it. But I love it!!! Can't wait for more info on the upcoming things!!!

Myolie Wu's my favourite female newcomer to the TVB community. She's an incredibly versatile actress, displaying an emotional range that many TVB "Big Sisters" haven't yet been able to display.

Her performance as the mentally challenged Yan Yan in Golden Faith was heartbreakingly sincere.

I personally think Myolie Wu has a lot more potential as an actress...because I've seen Michelle Yip in very limited types of roles (not much range in character, if you know what I mean), and I actually find her kind of dull.

But that's only my opinion.

Totally agree Sunnydayz. Myolie's acting ablities has scored over some of the older standing artists like Charmaine Sheh for example. I really think with participating in more series, her acting skills will get even better. She really does well in any role and she has gotten a lot of different types to try with and has done them each well.

I think that Michelle's acting has become more and more raw.....she doesn't have the appropiate emotions for some scenes. Watching her in TITS and I find her rather emotionless and all that.

really though i'd choose myolie over michelle just cause more experience i guess.
i mean michelle shined in eternal happiness but from there it was like "uhhh i thought ppl were suppose to improve".

Myolie Wu was fantastic in Golden Faith. I just read the latest review for Golden Faith, and I agreed with the reviewer. I think part of the reason why she comes across to me as having talent is because she isn't born with an actor's silver spoon in her mouth, i.e. she's not exactly pretty. However, I suspect that her high-pitched voice actually helped her a lot in portraying Yanyan.

I'm new to this thread and after watching Triumph in the skies, I so adore Myolie. i think she is so cute and i love her role in this series. I've watched other shows with her in it and always liked her acting, but with this series, this one tops the cake and it makes me want to watch more series with her in it. She does however looks better with long hair instead of the short hair like in SL and GF.

Hey Arashi!!! First time posting in here huh? I hope it isn't the last though!!! Hehe, that means you have to keep coming in!!!! I think Myolie proves that beauty isn't everything and it takes skills to get to the top too. Even if your beautiful and all that, without skills no one will recognize you as a true actress. I would agree that Myolie isn't drop dead gorgous, but she is pretty and cute.

You guys know what? Myolie has been given so many opportunities with protraying different types of roles and all, I don't know which one i like best anymore!! Lol, I think she protrayed each one wonderfully and I like practically all her characters!!!!

I caught a couple of episodes of Myolie's earlier work "At Point Blank" on TVBJ recently. Her acting is so good already in such a relatively early production! Also I have to say, she looks gorgeous in there with her long curly hair. Very mature and chic. So far, it seems to me that she looks the best in there. I find the rest of the characters kinda miscasted, but I'm hoping to catch the entire series when it airs on another channel soon.

Any chance someone can provide a list of her shows so I can catch them when I have the time? Thanks!

Hi There goddessofhonour, I do love Myolie. Today I will be able to see the ending of TITS, looking forward to it and also depress because it's ending . But I also get Net Deception, so I'm looking forward to seeing her and her weird hair in that . Have you seen that series yet? I just want to say Congrats for TITS for winning the #1 best series in this years 2004 Next TV Awards. And congrats to Myolie for being in it as well has having the lead role in Survivor's Law which by the way won 2nd place after TITS. So congratulations to Myolie for knowing how to pick a series. She has protrayed so many different kinds of characters but there is one that I want to see her in. It is in a ancient series where she can fight instead of being weak and needs a guy to protect her. Now that's a series that I want to see her in. Hopefully she will do that someday.

Thanks for the list! I think you're referring to Eternal Happiness? Myolie's character was boring in there unfortunately. I'm waiting to start on Triumph and Survivor's Law, so I'll pop back here when I've seen them!

But there's one role clearly missing from her relatively short career- a VILLAIN.

Is that true? I hope she does change her mind. A villain is one of the most challenging roles for an actor to play...maybe Myolie is afraid of somehow ruining her image so early on in her career?

hey there again ltlegrl80!!! I know how you feel about Triumph in the Skies. I finished it last week and had the same feeling. I was really excited to finally see the ending, but then knowing that there is no more of it Yeah, but then Net Deception comes in!!! I'm watching it right now. On tape 10 already. Love this series, its releasing out so fast and the serie is going by quickly. Not stalling and all you know? Hehe, Myolie and Jack are really compatable too!!!

Yeah I remember reading also that Myolie doesn't want to protray a villian. I don't want to see her in a disliking role, but then again I would like to see her protray that so that she can show the audience that she can take any role and do well in it!!! So far she is doing soooooooo well in every single series that she has been given. Another good thing is that she is starring with many new artists and not the same ones you know? Even though that isn't bad.

I hope that after Net Deception there will be more series with Myolie. Wouldn't it be really nice that after each series with her finishes then another one comes out? I would love that!!!

Myolie has a lot of roles she shows that she can portray each pretty well. a villian role might be good. she can take on the not innocent but somewhat evil role. she just needs a change to break out of the "zoe" character.

Hello there goddessofhonour and everyone else. Yes I admitt that Net Deception is getting good. Jack and Myolie do make a cute couple, maybe because they both have the baby face. I hear that her new serie "Rainbow Bridge" is coming out in April, or maybe that is for Hong Kong only. Well it's coming out and so I'm looking forward to seeing her in there. I also heard that she, Tavia, Ron and Sammuel are making a cop movie and it will start filming in mid-April, I can't wait to see that. I like all four of them. That will be something different for Myolie, she never played a cop before. So we get to see her as a "Madam" holding a gun. Yeah!! I don't want to see her as a villian, however I would like to see her as a tough girl, a character that can take care of herself, kinda like Laura Coft from Tomb Raider. I'm a feminist and so I always like to see girls kick butt. That would be cool if they make a series like Tomb Raider, then she can be in charge and need to save the world. Sorry daydreaming.

Yeah, Myolie and Jack do have that cutie face and they match so well togehter!!! I was having a few friends give spoilers for the ending and it sounds cute, hehe. Even though a few fix uppers would have made it even better!!

I can't wait to see Rainbow Bridge!! Thats great that its finally releasing even if its only in chinese and all. Means the vietnamese version is coming out pretty soon!!! I'm looking forward to the Western Chamber Story with Myolie, Ron, and Michelle!!!

Oh, I know the series you are talking about. Its about them going to a cop training academy. I'm not sure if Myolie will also be in the academy though, I hope she is though!!! Can't wait for more information on the serial!!!

Hehehe, I agree with you. I would like to see Myolie in a more independant and tough type of role. Then again her role in SL, TITS, and ND are pretty close to that. Those roles were independant, but not exactly the tough I want. Maybe Myolie can play a more annoying role instead of considering it evil. Then she can prove how good she is at protraying any role!!!
