Default Were Soo Sing Ho's martial arts on par with Ding Chun Chou's?

Were the martial arts of Siu Yiu Sect disciple Soo Sing Ho on par with those of his notorious former martial brother, Ding Chun Chou? DGSD '81 seems to suggest as much. The two fought in a very long battle that went round after round after round with no apparent victor. Ding Chun Chou only ended up winning by (as usual) resorting to poison.

No, he was significantly inferior; this was stated to be because while Su Xinghe was extremely intelligent, he had too many interests, and so was unable to put enough energy and focus on martial arts. In fact, for some bizarre reason (no one has been able to figure it out), Wu Yazi refused to transfer his internal energy to Su Xinghe, with the strange belief that even if Su Xinghe had his internal energy, he would still lose to Ding Chunqiu.

That is bizarre. With Mo Ngai Tze's inner power, one could probably defeat Ding Chun Chou just with a random punch.

Who was Soo Sing Ho's closest equivalent in martial arts level in DGSD? Would he be around Deun Jing Tsun's level?

DCC's skill were alot higher then SSH's when WYZ was first crippled. Because WYZ knew that DCC had LQS favor and would continue to get stronger, he assumed SSH would not be able to defeat DCC. SSH may have had his own limitation where he might not have been able to fully master XYP's advance skills even with WYZ's inner power. DCC recevied XWXG manuals from LQS as a payoff to get rid of him, but he wasn't able to master the skill.

I believe SXH is no match for DCQ, proved by the duel. Yes, DCQ used poison, but that's part of his arsenal of moves. You can't penalize him for that; that's like saying OYF can't use poison.

SXH became too distracted with the arts and chess while DCQ was very eager to improve his martial arts.
