Yup, he came in third hehe he's pretty funny but quiet at the same time. I bet he came up with that name "Wei Zhu" aha YHM is just really childish and likes to get involved in everything. sometimes he thinks hes really funny but he isn't hehe. and it was kinda funny how they made him like this amazing musical talented person in the series when he's pretty bad at singing and also the violin

Oh yeah, do you have the actual HunanTV so you can watch all the latest shows or do you watch them online? I have HunanTV world, and they're always behind in broadcasting the shows compared to the actual air time. they don't even broadcast this series

I've read his blog entries, and its so cute the way he writes. but ZH is better in looks, like when I first saw the casting, he stood out as the most handsome He's kind of old compared to the other guys though and hes even like 7 years older than Zhen Shuang.

I saw them on "Yu Le Wu Ji Xian" the older day. it seemed like they weren't really happy about the criticism online after all the effort in put forth in the series. they were also talking about the kiss scenes and how it was the first on-screen kiss for all of them.

Lol, don't talk to me about advertisements. Seriously, for several days, I would just sit in front of the tv waiting to watch that 30 second clip. Typically, people would change AWAY when they see ads coming onto a channel, I would change TO Hunan TV when they were showing commercials in hope of catching a glimpse of some previews (because I don't want to sit there watching what may be thhe thirtiest rerun of Huan Zhu Ge Ge). There was this one day when I must have watched at least an hour's worth of commercials, and still didn't see any previews. That was one sad sad day...

I saw them on Yu Le Wu Ji Xia too! (normally I don't watch that, because the hosts annoy me). It must be hard to cope with all the criticism, especially when people haven't even given you a chance and are just prejudging you. On Bei Hou De Gu Shi, YHM was talking about all the criticism and controversy surrounding his hairstyle and he actually ended up a little teary because of all the personal attacks on the net. I mean, I'm all for everyone having their opinions etc., but sometimes netizens can be just plain nasty.

But on the plus side, despite all the negative comments, it's one of the hottest shows atm. Apparently, on baidu, four of the main casts are on the top 5 most searched people (the other being Jay Chou).

aww, that is so cute and something I would do too I finally got to watch their Happy Citadel and it was so funny and cute. I loved the part where they were reciting the recipe in different emotions and when they were acting out the scenes for the other member to guess. I'm only on episode 22 right now but I heard there's going to be a sequel with the same cast members, yay

Yes, sequel! Because it's a pretty crappy ending. Plenty of room for a sequel. Although I REALLY hope that they get a good script. They can actually really be 'original' this time and not be a spinoff from HYD.

Also, apparently Hunan TV is making another idol drama called "爱情果冻" which stars Zheng Shuang as the leading female. Not sure who the leading male will be, but rumours are that it's between Yu Hao Ming and Zhang Han. REALLY hoping that it will be Zhang Han.

To be honest, i was a little biases toward this version because my favorite was the Japanese version because it was basically an anime with real people which was very funny. At first i didnt even know that MG was a HYD adapt until it got really popular and the story sound like HYD. Can anyone tell me why they renamed it to MG?

anyway, reading the thread, i decided to give it a try like i did with the korean and taiwan version. So far, its not bad. Not great, but not too overly dramatic like the Korean version. I'm still waiting for Chu Yu Xun be the strong stubborn weed that is iconic to her character. My only problem so far is...WTH is with the cheap ugly school uniform? F4 dont wear uniform...but if they did it wouldnt be that ugly...they look like kindergardeners....but i will finish it to the end and save my final opinion.

P.S. i forgot who said it but they were right, the whole show seem like a long commerical for products... there was rarely a scene where they wasnt some advertisement in the backgound. it reminded me of how the whole Transformers 2 movies was one whole infomercial about joining the military (look at all the cool job and cool equipment we have).

The uniforms are product placement too. Metersbowne uniforms. As are a lot of the clothes.

It's the first idol drama under eeMedia, a subdivision of Hunan TV. Cut them slack...they need product placements.

If this drama doesn't make money, the whole subdivision could die and there'd be no more dramas. The first drama has to be a success.

I see that they're trying to remake Meteor Kindergarden. Poorest F4 ever. Well, besides the Taiwan version but they get a pass since they were the first and took a risk.

I was a little disappointed by this adaption. Maybe if I had not seen HYD or BOF right before. But I loved both those shows and even enjoyed Meteor Garden to a certain extent. Possibly if this show had come before the other three I would have liked it, or if I did not love the manga to death. But since I do, this show was a disappointment for me. I gave it three episodes, so maybe it picked up later. But the main girl had this thing for screaming and glaring and the scene where she picked up the zebra was pretty bad...

I did like Yun Hai but he was not like doumyoji at all, the guy who made his appearance in pink seemed more doumyogi-ish. And the Rui character was way too nice. So maybe if I did not know the main story or could separate the two this show would be okay. But I can't bc there are too many similarities to separate them.

finished watching the whole thing (it was hard, skipped some middle parts because i ....i just had too!)...and i would like to say that....this is NOT a HYD....its a fanfiction based on HYD's characters and plotline.

By itself it is average, and when you compare it to others HYD then it fell right down the gutter. i'm not going to say anymore because anything else would be because of my complete biases to the original HYD.

Storyline is definitely not as strong as MG. Although the characters share distinct parallels to the manga, if you watch the series, you'll see that there is a LOT of differences. They have made so many changes- the whole series has a more youthful, lighthearted feel, and is more 'real lifey' than the more intense storyline of MG.

I personally found it pretty good, but that might be because despite the fact that I really enjoyed MG, it was never that close to my heart. But I completely understand for die-hard HYD fans, this series may have been very disappointing, because I too get really upset when books/stories that I love get butchered in certain TV adaptations.

for me... I think the main actress in this one was the prettiest out of the four...the just looked a bit immaturish... What really pissed me off is that YHM would actually look better in the drama if they actually gave him decent hair, like he usually has... I have To say, the korean F4 were the best... But the lead actress for that one was really annoying...

I watchede the Japanese version - arguably, only Matsumoto Jun is good looking, but tis all good since hes the main guy. Maybe what I do like about the Japanese one is, they are less draggy, and its more comedic.

I couldn't watch the taiwanese version because i really don't like their crappy acting, and korean one was like overly dramatic.

and i agree, the mainland cast has really ugly F4 - the girl looks good though.

I usually don't like idol dramas, but somehow I just absolutely LOVE this one! There's just something about it that really grabs me! Can't wait for season 2!
