Synopsis:

I'm a huge fan of the novel. The author, Ming Xiao Xi, started off as an online writer, and she's really quite popular in mainland. Pao Mo Zhi Xia I would definitely say is is her best work thus far. The plot is awesome, and I really like Xia Me's character (as liking the female lead is quite a rare occurence for me, that's saying something).

So given my love for the novel, I was quite apprenhensive about the series. However, the screenshots so far seem quite good, and on par with the general feel of the series. Da S looks good as Xia Me, costumes, scenery etc. seem nice. But I just have to add that that peter ho as Ou Chen just feels wrong wrong wrong. I always liked it better before he and Huang Xiao Ming swapped roles. I reckon he would make a better Luo Xi. Also, the lace on Peter's hand looks kinda crappy. But anyway... I'm still looking forwards to this series.

good news: HXM finally wrapped up filming for his mainland film, feng sheng (a spy/espionage film) and has started filming scenes for summer's bubble!
bad news: his look...
HXM just got to macau to start filming scenes for summer's bubble. the cast and crew are in macau because there is apparently a portion of the book where HXM's character, luo xi, is in italy, and they are using the venice hotel in macau for that portion. his hair though...

He did, but he made an exception for this series. I think partly it's because the laws changed in Taiwan earlier this year and they finally let mainland actors act in their series. Thus HXM would be one of the first mainland actors in a lead role in a Taiwanese series and setting a precedent in history; that's not something I'd turn down.

Gotta agree about the wig - not a good look for him. It's also odd to me that he's got a nearly identical hairstyle to Peter Ho. You'd think they wouldn't want both stars to have the same hairdo.

I've been looking at so many pics of Peter Ho in Romance of the Three Kingdoms that he looks wierd to me with a modern hairstyle!
