So Morrowind is text heavy eh?? Did Morrowind have NPC schedules? That's one of the thing I liked about Fallout 3 and Oblivion, the NPC's had their own A.I. schedule. They'll wake up, go to work, walk around town, go to bed, etc. It really made the whole atmosphere really realistic.
Morrowind did have some NPC schedules but I think they were a bit limited in that NPCs didn't wander, and pretty much stayed in their zone. The dialog was based on a keyword/hypertext approach where as you asked about different things it would show new topics/keywords. Most NPCs also had basic conversation topics like tell me about yourself, the town, etc. Oh, and all NPCs were named -you didn't have generic "bandit" or "guard". In fact it caused a fair amount of concern since you weren't sure who was important and who wasn't. The game itself had a built in backdoor so you could still complete it even if you ended up killing most of the important NPCs. The backdoor was of course very obscure and complex...

I never played Fallout 1 and 2 either. How is the gameplay?? I bought Fallout 3 because it was made by Bethseda and had a similar open-ended style as Oblivion. I havne't played too many PC RPG's but my favorite one is probably Planescape Torment.
I've never played FO1 but I did finish FO2. FO2 was pretty challenging because in the beginning you are really resource starved, and tend to get slaughtered if you ranged into some tough areas since encounters were not adjusted to your level. The fact that some of your party had gatling guns with a wide spread coupled with an isometric view also results in many inter-party casualties. The world was very colorful, and there's all sorts of interesting situations like a HtH fighting tournament, your very own shotgun wedding, starring in a movie and 5 different types of prophylactics.

Yes, Planescape Torment was just a classic. My only beef with it is that for a game based on a DnD campaign setting it didn't have a single sword in it. Did the Lady place a ban on long bladed weapons?

How is Borderlands?? I heard of it but never got a chance to play it. Roleplaying Shooter?? Have you heard of Deus Ex? Is it similar to that?
I really enjoy Borderlands. Originally I was initially dismayed by the limited inventory space, and concerned about picking a viable set of skills but it turns out that you can increase your inventory space, and redistribute your skills!

I would say it's much more action oriented than Deus Ex. Games like DE 1/2 and System Shock 1/2 tended to be more realistic and immerse while Borderlands is probably more action-oriented akin to a semi-persistent version of Team Fortress or Starsiege Tribes with quests and skill trees rolled in. It's aiming for the niche between FPS and online RPGs.

Yes, proving that you're the legendary Lord Neverar reincarnated, rallying the tribes and houses of Morrowind under your banner, dealing with your former companions who betrayed you for godhood, and taking out the millennium-old great evil on Red Mountain sounds more epic than being a nameless gopher for the late and new Emperors of Tamriel.

I've always found it fascinating that they provided such a complex approach to the story of what really happened thousands of years ago to Lord Neverar with all the different versions.

If there is one band I can count on to deliver every time, it's Dir en grey.

You know, somehow, my mind links me to think of Adam Lambert when I read Dir en Grey. I usually don't fancy the gothic looks but Lambert has this charm about him....nevermind about his sexual preferences though.

    How do you find Lambert?

I've received intelligence that Cedric is actually not a gay guy like I thought.

I love Lambert's voice. He is a great performer and has the potentials to become an icon in music. Being attractive helps him too.

But his singles so far are not impressive, and I'm fearing he may be taking too many pointers from Lady Gaga, which may snub his own creativity. Right now, he's riding on the tails of his American Idol success, which has gained him a pretty decent cult following. But he seriously needs to make it about the music now, rather than his other antics. I still have a lot of hope in him.

Dir en grey, on the other hand, after the album they released last year, I wasn't the only one worried about how they'd top it off. But they did.

I like some Dir En Grey, but the good old L'Arc-en-Ciel.

I agree! I dig his information and realised that he is an artist in his blood. He is a stage actor at around the age of ten, and had stage acting performances in major productions.

Maybe he needs some sort of starter to help him to go along the path, initially. I think his other influences would have been better.

They didn't let their fans down afterall. Good job!

He is a very talented person.
I feel that he should maybe consider doing what Chris Daughtry did, and start his own band, instead of the stuff he's doing now. This way, he'd have more creative input and would be able to truly show his talents. His singles so far are pretty disappointing in my opinion.

I get that his record label is probably trying to make as much off him as possible, since he sells (probably way more than Kris Allan would ever be able to). But it's going to be sad if a true talent like Lambert goes to waste because of corporate business crap, which the majority of the music industry is turning into.

To be perfectly honest, of all the bands and musicians I listen to who are currently still active - this band and Mike Patton are the only ones I can count on to consistently deliver good and sincere music. Not surprising, though, since both the "leader" of Dir en grey and Mike Patton share some very similar traits when it comes to music.

Banh Mi: I like L'Arc too, but I usually prefer something heavier .

Probably because his music went downhill after Crescent. All his new songs sound the same and lost his originality. He still has one of the most beautiful voices ever, but he just kind of fell into the "make money more than music" thing. He became too commercial (and sort of lost parts of his musical integrity along the way). And what was the whole deal with S.K.I.N., too (that was a load of fail).

why do girls have to cry during even *normal* movies?

I'm thinking, I could ask Candyman to be my partime model if I would see this person in real life.

Not for the boobs, of course.
