Next year's best date is 20-10-2010 or 10-10-10?

The following year is more awesome, 11-11-11.

Woohoo, finally finished with Demon's Souls after clocking in 75-80 hours in the game and beating the game twice. Got my character to level 100+ on the second playthrough Starting Valkyria Chronicles soon!

Bestbuy is having a sale for PS3/Xbox/Wii games. If you buy 2 games you get the third one free. I think this promotion only lasts for a week.

The dialog was based on a keyword/hypertext approach where as you asked about different things it would show new topics/keywords. Most NPCs also had basic conversation topics like tell me about yourself, the town, etc. Oh, and all NPCs were named -you didn't have generic "bandit" or "guard". In fact it caused a fair amount of concern since you weren't sure who was important and who wasn't. The game itself had a built in backdoor so you could still complete it even if you ended up killing most of the important NPCs. The backdoor was of course very obscure and complex...
Cool, i'll definitely have to check Morrowind sometime, maybe get the PC version since they didn't port it to PS3.

I've never played FO1 but I did finish FO2. FO2 was pretty challenging because in the beginning you are really resource starved, and tend to get slaughtered if you ranged into some tough areas since encounters were not adjusted to your level. The fact that some of your party had gatling guns with a wide spread coupled with an isometric view also results in many inter-party casualties. The world was very colorful, and there's all sorts of interesting situations like a HtH fighting tournament, your very own shotgun wedding, starring in a movie and 5 different types of prophylactics.
I remembered that the beginning of FO3 was a bit of a struggle for survival too. Caps were pretty hard to come by at the start. But those DLC's, particularly Mothership Zeta, really helps you earn tons of caps. You can make a killing selling those alien weapons and crystals! That's pretty much how i became rich in the game.

Yes, Planescape Torment was just a classic. My only beef with it is that for a game based on a DnD campaign setting it didn't have a single sword in it. Did the Lady place a ban on long bladed weapons?
All i remember is that i loved the philosophical aspects of the RPG. Definitely one of my faves from the PC RPG side.

I really enjoy Borderlands. Originally I was initially dismayed by the limited inventory space, and concerned about picking a viable set of skills but it turns out that you can increase your inventory space, and redistribute your skills!
Yeah it's also out for the PS3, but I hesitated on buying it. Is it worth it? Is there any story or character development?

I would say it's much more action oriented than Deus Ex. Games like DE 1/2 and System Shock 1/2 tended to be more realistic and immerse while Borderlands is probably more action-oriented akin to a semi-persistent version of Team Fortress or Starsiege Tribes with quests and skill trees rolled in. It's aiming for the niche between FPS and online RPGs.
Yeah i only played Deus Ex and System Shock 2. Classic games.

Fear and respect are two different things. Some people command both, some others only one. For Her Majesty, there’s only one, and that’s the former. And it comes along with strong feelings with detest too.

He does anaesthetics so it's already. The worse that could happen is someone sleeps 2 days after their operation.

You'd be scared if he was a heart surgeon. Or if he was responsible for chemo.

Oh come'on! Don't drift it further to horror! Give Han a pat on shoulder to show some support instead of showing something to the effect of discouragement.

um...no. someone could go to sleep and never wake up. or someone could have an allergic reaction to the anesthesia and die.

It's rather Diablo-like as in there's a story, parts of it are dark and entertaining but ultimately if I asked you to describe the story behind Diablo, it would probably be "Demons overtake a town, adventurers find a portal to Hell beneath the town, and fight their way to it's depth before killing the great evil."

The story for borderlands is "There was an ancient civilization on this wasteland of a planet called Pandora. Treasure hunters have come and gone for many years trying to uncover their secrets to no avail."

Thus far there's very little real choice in the game. Your options tend to be do the quest or not. Interactions with the locals tend to be just as limited. Drawing another analogy I would say it's more like Halo with experience levels and skill-trees.

I like this game though since I've spent the entirety of Sunday playing it... then again I only paid $25 for it.

Recently I've also picked up the following games for $5 each: Far Cry 2, Assassin's Creed, Stalker and Bio Shock. Not quite sure when I'll have time to play those... considering that I just spent 5 hours installing Lost Planet on my laptop (stupid Steam) and still haven't opened Mercenaries or TR:Anniversary.
Yeah I can't resist buying cheap games...
HK47: Now do you understand the travails of my existence master? Surely it does not compare to your existence but still...
    You: I survive somehow
HK47: As do I. It is our lot in life I suppose master. Shall we find something to kill to cheer ourselves up?

Watched The Hangover and realised that Americans have a pretty low standard for humour.

    That crazy biatch.

If she wants to biatch at us at least find a valid reason instead of just stirring up UNREST.

And she keeps talking about "for the good of the company" blahblahblah. Who's really dragging the company down into a pile of waste in the lavatory?

Haha, and did you watch the closing credit? Or are you referring to the naked-and-really-angry-chinese-guy-in-the-trunk scene? LOL.

Tell me your definition of 'Friends'.
