If not for plot needs, just how much damage would Kiu Fung have done to Ah Chu?

One of the perplexing moments in Jin Yong's stories was how, after being stricken by an enraged Kiu Fung's supposedly full-force (and then some) Hong Lung 28 Palms, Ah Chu managed to stay alive at least overnight so that she and Kiu Fung could have some final words with each other. Most observers believe that considering Kiu Fung's power and Ah Chu's relative weakness, those palm strikes should have instantly killed her.

So all right: if we remove plot shields and just go by what *should* have happened based on our knowledge of Kiu Fung's power and Ah Chu's damage capacity, just how much damage should those palm strikes have done? Should Ah Chu have ended up looking like a slice of Swiss cheese?

Depends on which difficulty level the player chose at the beginning I suppose.

If we ignore every other feat XF achieves, then at least this is consistent with him not being able to kill a tiger with one palm to the head.

If he can strike to injure people from a few zhang away, he should be able to make the tiger squirt brain matter out of its nose. And Ah Zhu, clearly her heart, lungs and big vessels are not in her chest cavity; or her breast somehow diffused 75% of XF's strike's energy.

In a previous chapter, Jin Yong said that if Xiao Feng were to strike down with his hand, even if Ah Zhu were 10 times stronger, she would nevertheless die IMMEDIATELY. Later he did strike with maximum force, and she did NOT die immediately. This is solid proof that Ah Zhu became at least 11 times stronger between the time when she first hugged him and the time when he killed her. I suspect Dr. Xue gave her some supercalafragelous boosting medicine.

lol damnit, I deleted 90% and opted for a more neutral 75%. If Dr Xue can give such awesome breast implants, why can't his grandsifu make his statue of obsession into a real person.

JY could easily have explained the whole damn thing away by just inserting a comment that 1.) XF was weakened because he had previously infused massive internal energies to sustain Ah Zhu and 2.) Ah Zhu still had some of that energy circulating to protect her.

But tit shields are probably more fun.
