My computer is little over three years old, and is in good shape, however, for the past nine or so months, the DVD part of the CDRW/DVD drive has begun to stop working correctly when I try to watch a movie. I can still watch movies yes, but the audio/video is so laggy and jerky that it looks stupid and slow, even when sped up on the software.

I'm broke at this time, but I was curious if anyone had any ideas of how I could find a new CDRW/DVDRom drive for a desktop computer for cheap? I use my computer and the drive solely for screenshots of movies (most recent screenshot was Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau), mostly for roleplaying games and the like of what a character looks like.

I tried reinstalling the DVD software (PowerDVD 5) and that was no good. Even tried restarting my machine and watching a movie upon start up still no good.

Halp!
