Toronto Raptors is a basketball team, Toronto FC is a soccer team ;-)

I have heard from sometime about Zidane coming to Canada for exhibition matches. I know the organizer Ahcene Adlani, he coached my 2 sons and took my eldest to Europe. Good experience for him to see and experience the professional soccer players life in Europe.

Blackburn have signed Lars Jacobsen on a two-year deal from Everton.

Barca & Palmeiras have supposedly agreed on a deal for Keirrison.

Bolton signed Sean Davis on a free transfer from Portsmouth. Bolton had offered £3.5 million for Davis in January but Portsmouth turned down the offer.

This move was interesting. First, one of Benzema's teammates was claiming that Benzema was going to United for 45 million euros. Then after the transfer to Madrid was announced Lyon denied the report only to reverse themselves a few hours later. I think Benzema would have been better off going to United if in fact they did make a bid for him.

He's one of those who couldn't resist Real Madrid's 'charm', sadly enough.

Ribery is another one. He reportedly wants to be out of Bayern to join Real, and has ruled out joining Man Utd.

I keep wondering if Ribery's "I don't want to play in England" assertion isn't a ploy to drive up his price. There is a report that United has began talks with Michael Owen. He seems like an awfully big risk given his injury history.

What? I hope that story is false because he's as much of a sick note as Louis Saha was.

Sorry Xiang, but now the reports are that they have struck a deal. There has been nothing official from the club as far I know so it could be the typical tabloid nonsense.

That's really bad news then. Unless Fergie can get Owen back to fitness, otherwise it's just a complete waste of money and squad space.

Liverpool fans are not going to be happy at all.

Michael Owen is still only 29 so if he can stay injury free, he can still be an impact player for Man Utd.

That is a big if. However, since it was a free transfer this is a potentially large reward signing for United if he can stay healthly. I wonder if United will turn its attention to the midfield now?

Lots of United stories: there are reports that Manchester United has signed Gabriel Obertan from Girondins Bordeaux. There are also reports that Sir Alexis is going to return £20m of the CR money to Real Madrid for Klaas Jan Huntelaar.

I thought the title of this article was funny:
